Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur (abbreviated IIITN) is one of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT) and an Institute of National Importance^[1] located in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The institute started functioning from July 2016. It offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) courses in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. The institute has shifted to its permanent campus, at Waranga Nagpur.

Admission Process

IIIT Nagpur B.Tech. Admission process:

IIIT Nagpur offers a 4 years long B.Tech in two specializations, namely, Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The institute charges a fee of INR 2.48 Lakhs for the 1st year of its B.Tech programme. Admissions to the program are based on JEE Main entrance examination followed by JoSAA counselling.

IIIT Nagpur B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission into the B.Tech programme are required to have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.
Candidates should have scored a minimum of 75% marks or 8 CGPA in their 10+2.

IIIT Nagpur B.Tech Selection Criteria

Candidates are required to appear for JEE Main entrance exam and must obtain qualifying marks in the exam.
After qualifying the JEE Main, candidates should appear in the JoSAA Counselling process.

IIIT Nagpur BTech Cutoff (Released)

IIIT Nagpur BTech admission is done through JEE main rank cutoff. The JEE Main cutoff rank is announced by JoSAA. The cutoff depends on various factors such as rank secured in the JEE Main examination, availability of seats, choice filling, reservation criteria, etc.

Admission Procedure

· The admissions for B.Tech. courses are conducted through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) every year based on their JEE (Mains) scores.

· The students those who have cleared the JEE Mains exam have to fill the registration or choice filling form under JoSAA.

· JoSAA automatically allots seats to students to different institutes based on their choice filling and the students that have been allotted seats at IIIT, Nagpur has to fill their admission forms.

· The admission/registration forms are to be filled along with the fees and required documents and should be with the students at the time of reporting to the institute.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme

Process of placement at Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur

The process of placement of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur starts early up, to give their students a good head start. Several stages are covered in the entire procedure held by the training and placement cell of the institute.

Stage 1

In this stage, the training and placement cell of the IIIT, Nagpur contacts various companies and their recruitment cells. The institute sends their placement brochures to the companies for approval. Those companies who show interest in holding their recruitment drive in the institute accept the initiation.

Stage 2

Now, the students are made aware of the company, which is to visit the campus for placement. They are given details like the eligibility criteria, the date, the special instructions etc. T&P cell then starts registering students for the placement drive and will also submit the documents asked.

Stage 3

Now, on the day of the placement, the companies tend to hold an orientation for the students to clear their doubts and clarify company policies. After this, the placement drive starts as per the company's requirements.

Stage 4

The students will have to take part in the stage-wise selection process for the position. One will have to undergo a written test, group discussions, technical round and personal interview in the end.

Stage 5

The selected students are given the offer letter. The students will have 24 hours to accept the offer; the offer letter will go null and void after that if not accepted. Also, the institute has a 'one student one offer' policy. Means, if one gets an offer from one company; they cannot appear in another company's placement round.

The Indian institute of information technology, Nagpur has shown an excellent placement stat since their formation year of 2016-2017. NSP- Central Sector Scheme Of Scholarship For College And University Students

The objective of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those meritorious students who hail from families with low incomes. It is to aid those students in meeting a part of their day-to-day expenses while they continue pursuing higher studies. These scholarships are awarded to students on the basis of their results of Senior Secondary Examination. A number of 82,000 scholarships are awarded per year of which half are for boys and half for girls. Students pursuing graduation and postgraduation or professional courses can avail these scholarships if they satisfy the eligibility conditions. The NSP- Central Sector Scheme Of Scholarship For College And University Students eligibility criteria is given below.

Eligibility:

The student must have scored above 80 percent in his/her class 12th exams or equivalent from the respective Board of Examination.
The student must be pursuing a regular course from a college or institution that is recognised by the UGC Act, 1956, All India Council of Technical Education, Dental Council of India, Medical Council of India, or any respective regulatory authority.
The student must not be availing any other scholarship benefits including fee waiver, scholarships run by the State, reimbursement etc.
The students pursuing diploma courses and those who are enrolled in distance learning programmes are not considered eligible for this scholarship.
The student’s family income should be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum.
The scholarship is given to students belonging to reserved categories, weaker section and minorities as well. The reservation policy for this scholarship is given below.

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Nagpur is a newly established institute, founded in the year 2016. Despite being new, the college in the first three years gained popularity and attracted many talents to take admissions into it. IIIT Nagpur offers various courses in the field of engineering, computer science and information technology. Looking at the number of various courses offered, the number of students will also be higher. Higher numbers of students will also require various facilities.
