Admission Procedure

Admission to the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Sri City, is primarily based on the results of national-level entrance exams and is processed through the JoSAA and CSAB counselling sessions. For undergraduate (B.Tech) programs, candidates must have passed 10+2 with 75% marks and a JEE Main rank, followed by participation in JoSAA counselling. For postgraduate (M.Tech) programs, candidates typically need to have a qualifying degree with a minimum CGPA, along with a valid GATE score

Admission Process

• Admission is via JEE Main + seat allocation through JoSAA / CSAB counselling. 

• After seat allotment, you must complete institute’s reporting — pay balance fee and upload required documents to confirm admission

Eligibility

• Must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics + Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Chemistry / Biology / Electronics / Biotechnology / Computer‑Science etc. may also be allowed depending on stream. 

• Must have a valid JEE Main score. 

• For general category: Boards marks ≥ 75% (or top 20 percentile) in 10+2. 

• For reserved categories (SC/ST/PwD): some relaxation — e.g. qualifying exam marks ≥ 65%.

M.Tech - 2 Years Course

Admission Process

• Normal/standard route: via GATE + centralized counselling through CCMT for candidates with valid GATE score. 

• For Non‑GATE applicants: Institute allows admission via its own process if candidate has B.Tech/B.E. (in relevant branches e.g. CSE/ECE or equivalent), with a minimum qualifying CGPA/percentage (for general: ≥ 6.5 CGPA or 60%; for SC/ST/PwD: ≥ 6.0 CGPA or 55%). 

• For Non‑GATE but from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTI), there may be extra screening (projects/activities) + coding test + interview

Eligibility

• B.E/B.Tech in relevant engineering discipline with minimum 60 percent marks or 6.0 CGPA.

• A valid GATE score in the relevant paper.

• Final-year students may apply (admission confirmed after degree completion)

M.S - 2 Years Course
