Admission Criteria

B.Tech Admission

IIT Ropar B.Tech course is offered in 10 different specializations in full-time mode only. Admission to this program is done through the JEE Advanced scores obtained by the candidates.

MTech Admission

IIT Ropar offers a 2-year duration MTech program in 19 specializations. The institute allows MTech admission based on the GATE scores, followed by COAP counselling. Only COAP-qualified candidates will be able to apply for the MTech program offered at IIT Ropar.

The main campus currently has four boys’ hostels—Satluj, Beas, Chenab and Brahmaputra Boys—and three girls’ hostels—Raavi, T-6 and Brahmaputra Girls, with a combined capacity of around 2,970 students.
