Indra Ganesan College of Engineering is a leading and premier Engineering Institution. It was established in 2008 by Mr T Ganesan as its Chairman under the aegis of the Indra Ganesan Educational and Charitable Trust.The purpose to establish the College was to provide higher education to students, especially those from rural backgrounds.

IGCE is located in a sprawling area of over 100 acres on IG Valley, Madurai Main Road, NH-45B Tiruchirappalli, Manikandam, Tamil Nadu.

The College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai It was granted Autonomous status on 29th September 2024 by the University Grants Commission (UGC).It is accredited with B+ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), New Delhi.

Indra Ganesan College of Engineering offers 6 B.E, 2 B.Tech and 2 M.E options in various disciplines. In addition, it also has an MBA Program option.The College has various Scholarshipscheme based on criterion decided by the College. IGCE also receives Grants from various Funding Agencies to assist needy Students.

The College provides Excellent and TopClass Infrastructure,covering Facilities which include well-structured Classrooms, Library, Language Lab, separate Men's and Women's Hostels, Health Center, Sports and Fitness options like Gym, Indoor and Outdoor Games, Canteen, Computer Resources, CCTV Cameras, 24x7 Security and Emergency Medical Services including Ambulance and a self-owned Fleet of Safe and Secured Transport.

IGCE has a very effective and dedicated Placement Cell for the benefit of Students. Since the inception of the College, it has maintained a very impressive Placement Record in the Corporate as well as Core Engineering Sector. The Training Methodology of the Placement Cell is spread over 4 Years covering domains like Personality Development, Skill Development, Specialization Development and Industry Oriented Development Programs.

Assessment of Students and subsequent feedback by Placement Cell Executives enables Students to be aware of their progress and is a regular feature.
