Admission Procedure

IITRAM Ahmedabad admission for B.Tech is through JEE Main (50% seats via JoSAA/CSAB counseling) and GUJCET (50% seats via ACPC counseling), requiring valid ranks/scores for the specific branches like Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer Engineering

B.Tech - 4 Years Course

Admission Process

• For B.Tech, IITRAM fills 50% of seats via national-level counselling based on JEE Main (through Central Seat Allocation Board / JoSAA / CSAB). 

• The other 50% seats are reserved for Gujarat-state candidates via state-level counselling based on GUJCET (through Admission Committee for Professional Courses — ACPC)

Eligibility

• You must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent in Science stream, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. 

• According to some sources, a minimum 75% aggregate (or top 20 percentile) in 12th Board is required for general-category (with relaxations for reserved categories) for seat allotment. 

• You must appear and qualify in JEE Main (if applying via JoSAA/CSAB) or GUJCET (if applying via ACPC) and then participate in respective counselling.

• Note: There is no “management quota” at IITRAM

M.Tech - 2 Years Course

Admission Process

• For M.Tech, 50% of seats are filled via centralized counselling through Centralized Counselling for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan. Admissions (CCMT) — usually for candidates with valid GATE score. 

• The remaining 50% are filled via state-level or institute’s merit list (ACPC).

Eligibility

• You need a relevant B.E./B.Tech degree (in engineering/technology) from a recognised institute. 

• Minimum required marks are generally 55% (or equivalent CGPA) for general category; for reserved categories (SC/ST/SEBC) relaxations apply (i.e. 50 % or as per norms). 

• For non-GATE candidates (if allowed to apply), there may be institute-level entrance test or selection criteria.
