Jain College of Engineering and Technology, a premier Institution in Hubli, was established in the year 2017 by the erstwhile JAIN Group which is an established education provider and entrepreneurship incubator in India under the Chairmanship of the Founder Dr. Chenraj Roychand.  Founded as an educational institute in the early 1990s, JAIN Group revamped the prevalent methods of education and focused on innovation and entrepreneurship. It created ripples in the educational sector and enabled JAIN Group to establish itself as one of the leaders in the education sector.  JCET is a premier institution which constantly strives in pursuit of excellence, imparting the kind of education that would make our country proud.

 
This co-educational College is spread in a huge 10 acre Campus on Hebballi Road, Sai Nagar, Unkal, Hubli, Karnataka.

 
JCET is Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technical University (VTU), Belgavi and is Recognized by      the Government of Karnataka.  It has the Approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

 
Jain College of Engineering and Technology offers Bachelor’s degree in engineering across various specializations such as Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Computer Science & Engineering, ECE, Civil and Mechanical.  Admissions are based on the scores of the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) or JEE Mains.  Students can apply to the college through online mode.

Eligibility

B.E Passed 10 + 2 Examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer science as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case candidate belongs to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. 

B.E. Lateral Entry Passed Diploma from an AICTE approved Institution, with at least 45% marks (40% in case candidate belongs to reserved category) in appropriate branch.

We get more of IT companies into our college for placements. For mechanical students the race is a bit tough as the number of recruiting companies coming for core mechanical is less. Most of the mechanical students end up taking IT jobs eventually

This is a well-known private institute and is approved by AICTE so when will not have any difficulty to apply for loans from majority of banks. Also if one is eligible he or she can also apply under Central Government scholarship scheme through NSP and also under state government scholarship schemes.

Jain College of Engineering and Technology is a modern ,friendly and dynamic Engineering college in the city of Hubballi. JCET is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development Govt of India , New Delhi and recognized by University Grant Commission of India , New Delhi. JCET is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University , Belgaum for BE courses.


JCET College library is known as LIBRARY AND INFORMATION CENTER. It is designed to meet the information needs of the Faculties, Staffs and students. Also it is the source for news on the latest developments in Engineering, The LIBRARY AND INFORMATION CENTER is fully automated with high speed servers and multimedia systems interconnected to LAN. Every users are provided Identity Card with Bar-code Technology. The Bar-code Technology is used for entire LIBRARY AND INFORMATION CENTER collection. In-house functions like acquisition, cataloging and circulation are automated with the KOHA (Integrated Library Management) Software.


The LIBRARY AND INFORMATION CENTER has a collection of over 8000 books that supplement the VTU curriculum course content and relevant to proposed subject areas. The LIBRARY AND INFORMATION CENTER purchases all books which are recommended and reference books from the syllabus. LIBRARY AND INFORMATION CENTER has been catering to the needs of the undergraduates, faculty and staff members of the 04 departments of our institute. The collection development has been supporting the teaching, research and development and other professional activities of the departments. The demands of the ever-growing research areas multiple disciplines is being catered with the help of latest volumes, in almost all fields of Engineering, Science and Technology, and general areas.

Hostels

Fully equipped separate Hostels for Boys and Girls are available. Following facilities are available in the Hostels which are semi furnished rooms with adequate light and ventilation, 24 X 7 hot water supply, well maintained and hygienic kitchen etc.
