Jansons Institute of Technology (Autonomous) – JIT is a world class Engineering College in Tamil Nadu, based at Coimbatore. Established in the year 2009, the Institution is Private, Self Financed, Non Minority, Autonomous and Co Education. Promoted by the Jansons Business Group which comprises 14 operating companies in five business sectors, predominantly in the Textile sector connecting 40 countries across the world and other sectors are Granite, Retail, Medicare and Education. The affairs of the Jansons Foundation are managed by a Board of Trustees under the chairmanship of Rtn. MPHF. Shri T.S. Natarajan. The Chairman is ably assisted by Mr. T.N. Kalaimani and Mr. T.N. Thirukumar in their capacity as Vice-Chairmen.

Jansons Institute of Technology (Autonomous) - JIT is located in Karumathampatti, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on part of a large 38 Acre Campus which is lush green, unpolluted and away from the dust and grime of the City. It is the most modern state-of-the-art campus located 25 kms from Coimbatore on the Coimbatore – Chennai National Highway in Tamilnadu. Coimbatore Junction Railway Station is 30 Kms and Coimbatore International Airport is 20 Kms away from the College Campus.

Jansons Institute of Technology is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the College with an "A" Grade. The National Board of Accreditation also has accredited their Academic Courses. The College is ISO 9001:2015 Certified. The College is ranked in the 150-300 band in the Innovation Ranking Category among Higher Education Institutions in India (University, Autonomous Institutions, and Colleges). It was also ranked 312 out of 151 Colleges in the Overall Category and 6th in Tamil Nadu in the year 2023.

Admission Procedure

Jansons Institute of Technology admission 2025 is based on entrance exam scores/merit and TNEA counselling. The institute offers six courses at the UG level. However, the institute also offers PhD courses. To get admitted to JIT College, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the institute. JIT College is affiliated with Anna University.
