Jaya College of Arts and Science is an institute of higher education that has received approval from the University of Madras and thus operates within the structure of the Tamil Nadu Educational Code for self- supporting private colleges. Every department has its own laboratory that is well-equipped. The central laboratory of Information Technology facilitates teaching on various subjects. In this manner all these modern laboratories provide an outstanding facility for learning engineering skills that are required for engineers of present day. Every application should be accompanied by 3 recent passport size and 2 stamp size photographs and attested photocopies of the following:

Higher Secondary Mark Sheet or its equivalent for admission to degree courses
Degree Mark Lists and Degree certificate for PG admissions.
Transfer Certificate from the Principal of the School/College last attended.
Selected candidates should deposit all the original certificates with the college which will be returned only after the completion of the course.

Placement Activities
We have full-fledged Placement cell, which monitors the employment opportunities and arrange campus interviews for the final year students.
Our Campus recruitment program starts by the beginning of the Pre-Final semester.
The On Campus recruitment program keeps continuing till the end of their final semester.
And after that we will be helping our students by arranging Off-Campus Interviews also.
We do not encourage the students, those who are placed through campus selection in a company to attend the further campus interviews.
The students those who have the plan to proceed for Higher Study will not be allowed to appear for the Campus Recruitments.
Our management is having a strong policy to not to encourage the companies doing Education & Training activities to attract the students in the name of placement orders.

LIBRARY

The Jaya College of Arts and Science library is well established as a knowledge source for the students of the different disciplines and faculty to obtain information. It is spacious and the resources are made easily accessible by the serene ambiance and effective computerization. Our library is housed in a hall of 8100sqft with a variegated collection of over 10121 titles 21678 Volumes apart from subscriptions to leading national and international periodicals and journals. It has a seating capacity of 150 students at a time. Leading newspapers, Magazines, and Journals are subscribed regularly to augment the library as a rich source of knowledge. The library is equipped with 10 computers for access to web resources. It also includes general knowledge books, books related to competitive examinations, and spiritual and religious books. The Digital library available for the students with individual login ID and password is useful to access the internet materials.

Hostel

A home is not a place, but a feeling. our college hostel provides a place for the emotional, physical and intellectual needs of the hostelers. A team of wardens and the tutor take great care in nurturing the students all-round well being and specially their safety and happiness.

BASIC AMENITIES OF THE HOSTEL
We have separate hostel for Boys and girls.
Every room has sufficient space for sharing with the adjacent students.
There is a common room for the students to gather and to interact.
Facilities are provided for indoor games to improve their social life.
Importance is given for group activities to motivate positive attitude of sharing and exhibiting their talents.
Uninterrupted power supply, medical facilities, non vegetarian food, RO drinking water, television, intercom facilities for all the room s, separate reading room, Telephone facilities, Dry cleaning facilities are provided in the Hostel. Hostel Day is celebrated every year in the month of February apart from all the yearly festivals of different culture.

Canteen

canteen is a mirror of the students’ joy and contentment. It is a welcoming haunt of the students during off- hours. So it is very important for the college authorities to see to the different essential features of a canteen.

Our college has an adequate and well furnished canteen with proper ventilation. It has 50 square tables with 200 seating facilities. Also the college provides RO – water purifier, CCTV surveillance and the fire extinguisher. Indian and Chinese cuisine, chat items, Ice cream, juices, beverages, hot drinks and soft drinks are provided by the canteen to the liking of the students.

Thus the college canteen promotes healthy and nutritional food in a conducive atmosphere as per the Human Rights to Adequate Food ( HRAF ).
