About

Jayam College of Engineering and Technology, a prominent educational institution in Tamil Nadu, was established in 1998, Jayam Educational Health & Charitable Trust (JEHCT).  In the year 2008, JEHCT added Jayam Polytechnic College (JPC) and had started to become a group of Educational Institutions since then.

Mr Manoj Mourya Ramesh, who is heading JCET, was born into a family of Educationists and Philanthropists.  His father Sri M Ramesh is the Chairman of renowned Jayam Group of Institutions, Dharmapuri.  Smt Parvathi Ramesh, his mother is one of the Founder Trustees of Jayam Educational Trust.

The JCET campus is located at Nallanur, Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, India in 100 acres of sprawling lush green in the backdrop of Hogenakkal falls which provides a perfect setting for a peaceful academic pursuit. The College is well connected by Road, Rail and Air to Chennai, Bangalore and Salem.

JCET is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University.  The college has obtained prestigious NAAC (National Assessment and accreditation council) accreditation with Grade 'B'.

From the humble beginning in the year 1998 in a then backward district of Tamil Nadu, JCET has made giant strides in the field of technical education. The college offers 6 UG programs in BE and 9 PG programs including MBA & MCA.  A student can pursue any of these Degree courses in Full Time mode.  JCET’s presently offers a collection of courses like B.E. / B.Tech, MBA/PGDM, MCA, M.E./M.Tech in the specialized fields of Engineering, Business & Management Studies and IT & Software.  Students can choose stream and specialization of their choice.

Jayam College of Engineering and Technology Dharmapuri courses are offered at UG, PG level. There are 15 courses offered at Jayam College of Engineering and Technology Dharmapuri. The courses are offered in fields like Engineering, Management, Computer Applications. Jayam College of Engineering and Technology Dharmapuri courses includes BE, MCA, MBA, ME, M.Tech.

• Should Complete B.E / B.Tech in relevant Category.
• Should Conplete Graduate Degree / Computer Application Degree in relevant Category.

Placement

The placement percentage is above 80 percent, and the highest package is INR 6 lpa for the mechanical engineering department. Other departments like CSE have a higher package compared to the mechanical department, and the lowest package is INR 2.2 lpa for our department.

JAYAM SCHOLARSHIP

The fee fixed by JCET is the Government fixed fee. For 2022-2023, JCET has taken a stand to provide the JAYAM PRAGATI SCHOLARSHIP* for students who are under privileged and who really have the passion towards education. Students can opt for PRAGATI Scholarship and check their eligibility by calling to 99422 77777. * Specific branches only and limited seats. JCET also allows day-scholars to travel with their own transportation and parking facilities will be provided for free.

SCHOLARSHIPS

• Apart from Government Scholarships, JCET offers an Academic Scholarship and a Sports Scholarship for students based on their respective performances.

• It is this year that the Management in accordance with the administration has decided to give free scholarships for the first time ever due to the COVID-19 Outbreak.

Library

The College has a well-equipped modern WI-Fl library housed in a total area of 16000 sq.ft. The books are classified and arranged according to the Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme and Open Access System is followed. The Library has computerized catalogue to find out the availability of books. The library is kept open on all the days from 09:00 AM to 07:00 PM. JCET was one of the first colleges in Tamil Nadu to adopt the Wi-Fi standards making the whole library completely accessible to the Internet.

The Library has extensive collection of books and is augmented on a continuous basis. National, International Journals, Magazines, e-journals, E-books, Project Reports, Educational Audio and Video content are available.

Banking & Health care

• We have a full-fledged branch of a leading private sector bank functioning out of our college premises providing a wide range of banking services.
  
• We also have a South Indian Bank ATM located in the campus which facilitates withdrawal of money 24x7 and throughout the year.
  
• We are partnered with Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, Indian Bank and South Indian Bank. Loan support can be provided for students and parents.
  

Health Care

• The college has on its rolls a qualified Doctor, Dr. R. Monika who visits the campus on specified days of a week besides being available on call.
  
• The college dispensary is well stocked with medicines for common ailments. College also owns an Ambulance which is available round the clock.
