About JSS SMI UG & PG Studies

Janata Shikshana Samiti was established by the Late Sri. R. S. Hukkerikarji in 1944, with a noble determination to propagate value and need based education. Since from its inception, the Institution has been striving with utmost dedication to fulfil the requirements of primary, secondary and tertiary education. Today the Institution, popularly known as J.S.S. has become a premier educational hub of North Karnataka region. This institution has been progressed by leaps and bounds under the guidance & commitment of the Late His Holiness, Shri Shri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawarmath, Udupi, as the President, His Holiness Dr. D. Veerendra Heggadeji, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala as the Chairman, Dr. N.Vajrakumar as the Secretary and Dr. Ajith Prasad as Finance officer. The JSS campus, with 22 educational Institutions and more than 21600 students is always flourished with curricular and extra- curricular activities.

JSS Shri Manjunatheshwara Institute of Under Graduate & Post Graduate Studies is affiliated to Karnatak University, Dharwad. Its objective and mission are to inculcate the importance of higher education and pave the way for employability by offering relevant quality need based education to the students of North Karnataka. The functioning of courses like BCA, B.Sc.(CS), B.Com and BBA bear the testimony for which the institution is committed and dedicated. Besides these courses the college has also been offering PG Programmes like M.Sc. (Computer Science), M.A.(English) M.Sc. (Chemistry), M.Sc. (Physics), M.Com & PGDCA. From the academic year 2020-21, we are introducing M.Sc. (Mathematics) PG Programme.

ADMISSIONS UG 2020
Applications are invited for the following undergraduate courses for candidates who have successfully passed out in PUC/10+2 from a recognized board. Admissions are strictly based on merit.


COURSES OFFERED
BBA / BCA/ B.Sc(CS)/B.Com – As per Karnatak University Norms.
The aspiring candidates will be looked for their conduct and behavior along with academic merit. Every aspirant will be subjected to counseling before the application is issued.

COLLEGE MANAGEMENT SCHEME:

The College Management believes in overall support to the students. It encourages them to focus more on education and co-curricular activities by providing financial assistance to the deserving students. Scholarship is given to assist and encourage students towards Education. Students who score more than 90% in their Previous Examinations are awarded Merit Scholarship on their admission to our Institution. Sports students are awarded fee concession for their National and International Participation achievement to the extent of 50% to 100% fee concession for their Achievements. Fee concession is also provided to students belonging to economically weaker section on approval from the trust. Free hostel and food is provided to the needy and meritorious students.
