The Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for women (formerly "S.I.E.T Women's College") maintained by the Southern India Education Trust, founded by Late Justice Mr.Basheer Ahmed Sayeed assisted by his wife Mrs. Fathima Akhtar and other colleagues, endeavours to maintain a programme that will develop women of great integrity, high character and culture who are fully capable of making enlightened choice and intelligent judgment in a social order which is dynamic and which requires the best contribution from every man and woman.

From its inception the College has been rooted deeply in the spirit of the oneness of God and Universal Brotherhood of Man. The Vision of the Information Technology Policy is to enhance and strengthen the use of resources such as computer systems, security of databases, networks so as to enable the usage of Information Technology for faster, inclusive and sustainable growth of our College. IT Policy exists to maintain, secure and ensure legal and appropriate use of Information Technology infrastructure established by the College within the Campus. Computer resources are used for administration in Offices, for Departments in academics for teaching-learning, in Library to access e-resources and an E-Learning Centre exclusively for research and development and in English Language Lab for training to promote Language technologies for text to speech and speech to text conversion, machine translation, voice recognition, etc. for enabling language independent delivery of services

Students should have passed Higher Secondary or Equivalent examination from a recognized board
Subjects should be relevant to the field of study
Candidate must have scored minimum 50% marks
JBAS Chennai UG Selection Criteria
The list of selected Candidates for admission to the various courses will be displayed on the College Notice Board and also on the College website.

Apart from this all selected candidates will be intimated by SMS
The selected Candidates List will specify the date of interview and provisional admission for the candidates.
The institute will not entertain any request for the change in the date of interview.
Selected students are required to present themselves personally on the date of the interview specified along with the printout of the Application if submitted Online along with the following documents:
Mark Sheets for the plus Two (Std.XII) Examination.
Transfer Certificate
Conduct Certificate
Community Certificate, wherever applicable

Placement: Entering into the last semester the students become eligible for the campus placements. Every year college Will assign more companies for the campus placements. corporates will hire the students for jobs with the suitable skills of the students. I went to more than 10 companies interviews. The companies offered 300000 to 40000 as per the companies' profile. The students must clear all the semesters without any due arrears with 50% of marks placed in the interview. some companies offer jobs if students have arrears.
