K.N.S Institute of Technology, one of the prestigious engineering institutes in the country, was established in the year 2001 by Sri C.K Jaffer Sharief, Former Union Railway Minister, Govt of India in loving memory of his Son Late. Sri Khader Nawaz Sharief.  It was inaugurated on 17th October 2002, by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi in the presence of renowned personalities like Shri S. M. Krishna, Former C.M. of Karnataka, Shri Late Dr. Raja Ramanna, renowned Scientist of World repute and first Chairman of KNSIT Governing council, Dr. Natarajan former Chairman AICTE, New Delhi and Dr. K. Reddy, former Vice-Chancellor Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. 

 
KNS Institute of Technology is built on a sprawling 20 acres of land with Superior infrastructure in Hegde Nagar, Kogilu Road, Tirumenahalli, Yelahanka, Uttarahalli Hobli, Bengaluru, Karnataka.  The vibrant campus of the institution was designed to give more learning space to students. The Departmental blocks are superior in architecture. With 23 years of Academic Excellence, KNSIT is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgavi and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and accredited by NAAC.  It has also got recognition from Govt. of Karnataka.

Admission Criteria

KNSIT Bangalore Admission Process

The KNSIT Bangalore offers admissions in the engineering and technology programs at the undergraduate level. The candidates need to appear for the COMEDK UGET entrance examination and fulfil the eligibility criteria. The merit list is generated by considering the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination and seats are allotted as per the seat intake of KNSIT Bangalore.

• The candidate should have graduated from a recognised university with Physics, Maths and English as compulsory subjects.
  
• The candidate should have scored an aggregate of a minimum of 45% marks in the graduation (5% relaxation for the reserved category)

• Along with your passport-size photo, attach a self-attested copy of all the documents mentioned in the application form such as - 10th and 12th marksheets, migration certificate, domicile certificate, address proof, character certificate and the scorecard of COMEDK UGET entrance examination.

• The candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria and holding a valid score in the entrance examination will be called for an interview and will be allotted seats to their respective programs after the successful completion of document verification and fee submission.

• The Placement Team sends an invitation to the Recruiters with relevant details regarding the Final Placements.
  
• Recruiters convey their intention to participate by submitting a Notification for each profile they wish to hire for.
  
• The companies have to inform us of the recruitment process followed by them including the types and number of rounds for selection.
  
• The Placement Team communicates the dates for the campus visit for each recruiter by considering factors like student preference, job profile etc.
  

Companies are encouraged to give pre-placement talks before the commencement of recruitment process. This gives students a chance to know more about the company, work culture, growth opportunities and learning and advancement opportunity at the organization. They will also get a clear idea of the kind of profile that they would be working on. This would enable the students to make an informed choice and help enhance the effectiveness of the company’s selection process.HR can conduct different rounds of the selection process and inform the names of selected students to the Placement Department, which in turn shall inform the concerned students of the same.

Final Job Offers would be provided by the companies, which shall be accepted and acknowledged by the students. All the job offers will be channeled through the Placement Department. A Job Offer is considered to be valid only if the Placement Department is in receipt of the written communication of the same.
