Kalpataru Institute of Technology Tiptur was established in the year 1986 under the aegis of Kalpataru Vidya Samsthe with a view to providing quality Technical Education, particularly to the rural youth and to serve the rural people by providing technological support.  KIT is one of the reputed Private Institutes of Karnataka in the field of education which takes pride in having celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 2011-12.  The Institute is known for its good academic achievements in the past 38 years.

 
The11-acre sprawling Kalpataru Institute of Technology Campus is located on the N.H 206,Tiptur, Tumkur District, Karnataka.  It is situated on the outskirts of the town at a distance of 2 Kms from Railway station and Bus Stand.

 
KIT is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The institute has also been accredited with NBA (National Board of Accreditation).

 
There are various courses being offered at KIT Tiptur in Full time mode at the UG, PG and Doctoral levels in the streams of Engineering, Technology and Management.  The courses offered include B.E. (in 6 streams - CSE, AI&ML, ISE, ECE, Civil & Mech) and MBA Degree program.  Admissions to these courses are on the basis of KCET COMEDK UGET/KCET (for UG courses) and KMAT /Karnataka (for MBA course).  The Institute also offers Ph.D in 4 areas of Science and Engineering.

 
Kalpataru Institute of Technology has an excellent team of qualified, experienced and dedicated team of Faculty members with all required Infrastructure which is imperative for producing quality young Technocrats. All admission are made through one of the common entrance tests ( PGCET /KMAT/MAT (for MBA)) Other Students are required to apply directly to the Principal of the College for Application.

Placement Activities
Overseeing the placement process to its end; training, organizing and coordinating Campus Placement Programs which is the responsibility of the Training and Placement Cell. The Cell endeavors to carry out successfully all the processes methodically throughout the year.

The fees are actually too high for this college but it is the fixed govt fees for my course. We have applied for the scholarship months ago but still, haven't received any amount yet. It is the ssp scholarship.

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION & SPORTS

Large playing fields support a wide variety of games, such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey and Kho-Kho. There are also spaces dedicated for Indoor sport, including Table Tennis, Badminton, Weight Lifting, Power Lifting, Chess, and Caroms. Judo and Karate camps are regularly held. Our Outdoor facilities include a 200-metre athletic track and courts for Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, and Throw Ball. Tennis coaching camps in association with reputed professional bodies are also on offer.

Library of Kalpataru Institute of Technology
The Library is housed in Administrative block occupies an area about 1500 square meters. The Library department comprises four sections Viz., Issue section, Reference section, Digital Library and Reading Hall. The reference section and reading hall can accommodate about 250 students at a time for studies. Our library has always been the brain of the engineering college which houses valuable information for reference and caters to the educational needs of users. The aim is to motivate and support the process of self learning. Our Library is extremely proud of itself on having more than 68,042 volumes of which about 13500 titles cover all disciplines in Science and Technology.

4. Estimation of FAS potentiometrically using standard K2Cr2O7 solution.
5. Determination of Viscosity co-efficient of the given liquid using Ostwald's viscometer.
6. Estimation of CaO in cement solution by rapid EDTA method.
7. Estimation of Iron in haematite ore solution using standard K2Cr2O7 solution by External Indicator method.

1. Measurements of Three phase power using two Wattmeter method.
