Kamaraj College of Engineering & Technology (Autonomous) KCET is a Private, Self-Financing, Non-Minority, Autonomous, Co-Education Institution established in the year 1998.It is promoted and supported by Virudhunagar Hindu Nadars' Devasthanam, various Hindu Nadars' Mahamai Tharappus in Virudhunagar and other places and educational instit is the Patron, Thiru. K R Balakrishnan is the Vice President and Nagarajanutions of Virudhunagar. Dr S PugalanthiPandian is the President of the College Office Bearers, Thiru. Er. A.S.K.A.M. Nagarajan is the Patron, Thiru. K R Balakrishnan is Vice President and CA.V.K. Dharmarajan is the Secretary.

Kamaraj College of Engineering & Technology is located at S.P.G.Chidambara Nadar Nagammal Campus, S.P.G.C. Nagar, K.Vellakulam, Near Virudhunagar. Our College is ideally located on the home land of Karmaveerar "Bharat Ratna" K. Kamaraj and our institution is one of the Virudhunagar's most recognisable landmark. Our Founder Secretary Er.S.P.G.C. Srimurugan has donated 25 acres of Land for the progress of our college. Our Institution is growing with sustained progress due to the generous contributions from Virudhunagar Devasthanam, Various Mahamai Tharappus and Educational Institutions. Presently, Our College spans to 47.92 acres of land.

KCET has its approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is approved by Anna University, Chennai. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the college with an "A" Rating. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited several of the Academic Courses of the College. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) has ranked the College in the 201-300 band in the Engineering College Rankings in 2024. The College was conferred with Autonomous Status in 2019 for a period of 10 years till 2029.

KCET has several Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programs as follows. It currently has B.E (6), B.Tech (3), M.E (2) in different disciplines. Admission Procedure

Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology offers a B.E. and B.Tech in 10 specializations. Students looking for admission are required to pass the 10+2 Higher Secondary Examinations from any institution in Tamil Nadu with Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. The minimum aggregate of the candidates should be 50%.

B.E / B.Tech - 4 Year Course

Admission Process

Admission to the B.Tech program is through Merit followed by TNEA counselling. Generally the application form for the TNEA counselling is commenced in May to June with the application fee of INR 500.

Pass in 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)

M.E - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

Admission to the M.Tech program is through the TANCET or GATE Exam. Generally the application form for the GATE commenced in August to October with the application fee being around INR 1800.
