Admission Procedure

Karaikudi Institute of Technology and Karaikudi Institute of Management admission is based on merit scores of the students in the last qualifying exam or course-level entrances accepted by it. The institution offers various programmes at UG and PG levels. These are offered in multiple streams, such as Engineering and Business and Management Studies. The institution offers courses in affiliation with Anna University.

Admission Process

• Karaikudi Institute of Technology and Karaikudi Institute of Management provides a 2 years M.E./M.Tech course to the students in Full Time mode. The course is offered at the PG level.
• Admission to the course is based on TANCET. Below is the eligibility criteria for Karaikudi Institute of Technology and Karaikudi Institute of Management MBA/PGDM:

Eligibility

• Undergraduate Degree with 50% aggregate

Placement

The placement committee is working in close coordination with the management and provides a platform for students seeking recruitment to interact with the possible recruiters on the campus. Internship programmes for the interested students are being organized by the placement cell. The placement cell cordially welcomes corporate firms, financial institutions, government and non-governmental organizations to be a part of the placement process at KIT & KIM. We are also proud that more than 60% of the students enrolled have placed in the below displayed companies with good Role and Renumeration.

Concurrent courses and trainings for improvement of soft-skills, communicative ability and personality development are offered on campus. Training the students with respective technology and process, is very much important for the students to get placed in reputed companies.

Hands on training is given by Myoung Shin Automotive Pvt.Ltd and Overseas Cyber Technical Services(OCTS).

Scholarship

Scholarships are arranged for SC / ST and BC students who are entitled to avail the scholarship, as per the norms of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Besides, the institution awards merit scholarships to the meritorious students and special concession fellowship to the talented students in Sports. Fee concessions are sanctioned to plus two students with 80% marks at the time of admission. Necessary steps are taken to help the needy students to avail Bank loans for pursuit of their studies. The best outgoing student and the University topper from the Institutes would be awarded a Gold Medal for all-round excellent performance every year at the time of convocation by the promoting Trust. Apart from this, the Institute topper, in each branch of study, is recognized and book subsidies sanctioned to better his / her performance in the oncoming semesters.

National Service Scheme popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Mahatma Gandhi Centenary year 1969 and aimed at developing student’s personality through community service.RAGGING is strictly prohibited. Any student who directly or indirectly commits, participates in, abets or propagates RAGGING within or outside the educational institution shall be punished with imprisonment which may extend to 2 years and shall also be liable to a fine of Rs.25,000/-. He / She shall also be dismissed from the educational institution and such student shall not be admitted to any other educational institution.Concurrentcourses for improvement of soft-skills, communicative ability andpersonality development are offered on campus. Extra-curricularactivities on Music, Dance, Sports and Yoga form part of academic routine. An Indoor Gymnasium with multipurposes is being developed.
