Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering And Technology, Chennai also known as KVCET is a private co-educational college established in 2001 under the aegis of Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Trust led by its Founder Thiru. S. Regupathy, Honorable Minister of Law, Government of Tamil Nadu. The Trust founded the Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Group with the objective of rendering quality education and to groom efficient citizens for the future, thereby contributing to the nation-building process. Karpaga Vinayaga Educational Group (KVEG) (1993) caters to various disciplines of education like Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences.
Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and Techology, with a with a sprawling campus spread over 65 acres of land is located in the outskirts of Chennai city on GST Road, Chinna Kolambakkam, Palayanoor (PO), Madhuranthagam, Chengleput (Dt), Tamil Nadu. KVCET is Approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It is affiliated to Anna University and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It has been Accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with “B+” grade.
Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering & Technology offers Engineering, Management and Computer Applications courses at UG and PG levels. The courses offered are BE, B. Tech, ME, M. Tech, MBA and MCA. BE is offered in various streams of Biomedical, Automobile, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Robotics & Automation, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Mechanical, etc. M. Tech is offered in Biometrics & Cyber Security, Big Data Analytics, Biotechnology and Manufacturing engineering. The Admissions KVCET is based on merit and entrance exam scores. For B. Tech and MCA, candidates will be required to meet the merit whereas admission in M. Tech is based upon TANCET, CET or GATE score. Admission in MBA is based on MAT, TANCET or CET score.
