KGISL Institute of Technology (Autonomous) KITE is a Top Class Engineering College in Coimbatore as well as South India. KITE was established in the year 2008 under the K G Trust by Dr G Bhakthavathsalam, MS, FICS,FCCP,FAMS,FMMC, Founder-Chairman of the prestigious K G Hospital, with an objective to offer education at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels with relevance to industry embedded education, to mold the students for leadership in various fraternities like industry, government and educational institutions; to advance the knowledge base of engineering professions and to influence the future directions of engineering education and practice.

KITE is located inside the KGiSL Campus, a sprawling 40-acre campus at Thudiyalur Road, Saravanampatti, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.The College is well connected to Coimbatore Railway Station, Gandhipuram Bus Stand as well as Coimbatore International Airport, all between 12 to 15 Kms from the College.

KITE is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The College is accredited Grade "A" by NAAC and NBA has accredited their Department of Information Technology. They are an ISO 9001:2015 Institution and have been conferred with Autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC)

KITE has the following Academic Programs to choose from. It offers 6 B.E (2 are under approval), 3 B.Tech and 2 M.E options. There is also 1 MBA Program and 2 Ph.D alternatives. The College has Institution Scholarships. There is a Full College Fee Waiver, 50% College Fee Waiver, 105 College Fee Waiver for Meritorious Students, Single Parent Scholarships, Differently-abled Students Scholarships and Sports Quota Scholarships of 100% Fee Waiver. All Scholarships are subject to eligibility norms and conditions.

The college comprises of three blocks named Admin Block, Academic Block, and Lab Block. the Institution has a its infrastructure designed by renowned architects with all Smart Classrooms, a well-equipped Laboratory, a fully stacked Digital Library, a massive Auditorium, a Gym, a Food Court, Yoga and a health centre that gives the students excellent learning opportunities as it is critically related to the vision of our College and hence the facilities provided are beyond the requirements of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Anna University, Chennai. There is a progressive 4 Year Training Module for the Students starting off from English Language and Communication Training, Basic Computer and Maths Literacy and Programming Skills. It then moves on to Advanced Programming Skills, Verbal & Numeric Aptitude, Logical and Non Verbal Reasoning and Foreign Language Training. Technological Based Industrial Training, Software Testing, Specific Training on ITES and Campus Recruitment Training and culminating with Company , Payoda, Training and Placements. Admission Procedure

Admission to the B.Tech and B.E. programs is conducted based on the performance in the 10+2 level examinations. Later, shortlisted students are allocated seats through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) counseling. Last year TNEA counseling cutoff closing rank of B.Tech (AI & Data Science) was 22081 under the general category.

• The TNEA Counseling Cutoff of 2024 is shown for the B.E./ B.Tech program across various specializations.
• Based on the counseling round ranks, a merit list is published according to which students are allotted seats in their choice of college.

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed the 10 + 2 Level Examination with at least 50% Marks from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for general category students.

M.E / M.B.A - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

• ESEC offers a 2-year M.E. program in 2 specializations of CSE and Applied Electronics in full-time mode.
• KGISL offers a 2-year MBA program in Administration in full-time mode at INR 35,000. With a 60 intake capacity.

Eligibility

• A Graduation degree in Engineering/Science with 50% Marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.

The Central Library of KITE is functioning in administrative building first floor with a built-up area of 772.45 Sq. and it has a Seating capacity - 210 Students and Faculty Members. The Central Library holds 29,065 volumes of printed books encompassing 9443 titles covering all disciplines of Engineering and Technology, Science & Humanities & Management studies. The Library has a comprehensive collection of 106 Back volumes of Journals and Magazine and 1117 Electronic materials of educational oriented CDs, 10,000 NPTEL Videos to support Teaching, Research, and Extension Programmes of the college. It has a collection of previous year questions papers of semester exams conducted by Anna University. The Central Library subscribes E-Journals i.e., IEEE ASPP, AUERC and DELNET.
