About
Kings College of Engineering (Autonomous) KCE, a Top Class Engineering Institution, was founded in the year 2001 by Raj Educational Trust, as a Self-Financed Engineering College. The Founder-Chairman of the Trust is B . Renuka Devi, who had the singular aim of providing quality technical education to the economically disadvantaged and rural community while establishing the College.

KCE is located at Punalkulam, Near Thanjavur,Gandarvakottai Taluk, Pudukkottai District, Taminadu, on a sprawling land of over 50 acres, nestled in a tranquil and picturesque setting, perfectly tailored for Technical Education. Thanjavur New Bus Stand is 10 Kms from the College,

Kings College of Engineering is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The Universities Grant Commission (UGC) has conferred Autonomous Status on the Institution. KCE also has a NAAC "B"++ Accreditation.

The College has a wide range of Courses to offer. It has 2 B.Tech, 5 B.E, and 4 M.E Options in different Disciplines with an Annual Intake of 525 Students, apart from 3 Ph.D programs. King's College of Engineering offers a variety of scholarships, including Government scholarships, Fee waivers for meritorious students, Students from poor Economic background, and Sports Scholarships. It also has Cash Awards for the Outgoing Student with Best All-Round Performance and Proficiency Award for University Rank Achievers. Selected Students are sent for Foreign Industrial visits organized by Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Conference Center, Thailand. There is also a Best Library User Award.

The Department of Training and Placement ensures in creating a platform to connect core Industries with campus and it leaves no effort in shaping the young minds to face Engineering challenges by designing Training Programs in line with Market Trend and Personal requirement of the Students.

A specific Syllabus on Soft Skills & Aptitude has been formulated for the Students across the semesters. An In-house Training Team trains the students from Second year on Soft skills & Aptitude, with special emphasis on Employability Skills for the Final year. Admission Procedure

Admission to the B.Tech and B.E. programs is conducted based on the performance in the 10+2 level examinations. Later, shortlisted students are allocated seats through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) counseling. Last year TNEA counseling cutoff closing rank of B.Tech (AI & Data Science) was 22081 under the general category.

• The TNEA Counseling Cutoff of 2024 is shown for the B.E./ B.Tech program across various specializations.
• Based on the counseling round ranks, a merit list is published according to which students are allotted seats in their choice of college.

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed the 10 + 2 Level Examination with at least 50% Marks from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for general category students.

M.E - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

• KCE offers a 2-year M.E. program in 2 specializations of CSE and Applied Electronics in full-time mode.

Eligibility

• A Graduation degree in Engineering/Science with 50% Marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
