Kings Engineering College is a Christian Minority Self-Financing Engineering College established in the year 2001 by the Founder-Chairman Kalvithanthai Oorvasi D. Selvaraj.  The College is managed by The Chartian Educational and Health Trust, a Registered Trust of public nature for Education and Charitable purposes.  This in turn is managed by the Rajam Group Of Companies, Chennai that also manages Queens Land Amusement Park and the star category Resort Hotel - Pleasant Days Hotel.  KEC is a dynamic and fast growing Institution started with a vision to impart quality education to young generation.

Kings Engineering College is a renowned educational institution which is situated in a picturesque place in a sprawling 35-acre land opposite to Hyundai Motors, away from the frenetic din of the city. The college campus is located on the Chennai – Bangalore Highway,  Irungattukottai, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Tamil Nadu.  The nearest Bus Stop is Irungattukottai which is just 900 m away from the campus.  The nearest Railway Station is Tiruninravur at a distance of 24.6 Km.  And the nearest Airport is Chennai International Airport which is about 38 Km away.

Kings Engineering College offers a wide range of Degree programs at UG and PG levels. These courses are offered to students in Full Time mode in the field of Engineering. The Degree programs offered at the institute are B.E (in 6 disciplines), B.Tech (in 2 disciplines) and M.E (CS&E).  The institute strives to provide quality education to students at an affordable fee to make it accessible for meritorious students. Admissions are on the basis of TNEA scores.

Admission Procedure

Kings Engineering College Admissions for 2025 is going on. Students can apply directly through the official website. Application form and prospectus for all courses will be issued on payment of INR 1000, and payment can be made by cash or using a Demand Draft (DD).

• TNEA Rank List 2025 has been published @tneaonline.org. The ineligible applicants can file their grievances from June 28 to July 2, 2025

Eligibility

• For B.E./B. Tech admissions, candidates should have passed the qualifying examination 10+2 and obtained minimum marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.

M.E - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

Application to the courses offered by the institution should be made in the prescribed Application Form. Instructions must be carefully read and strictly followed. Incomplete application and failure to enclose the stipulated documents may result in rejection of the candidate's application.

Kings Engineering College, Kanchipuram

The College library is located in a spacious new building of 6000 Sq. ft. The library is open to students and staff members from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on all working days. The library has a rich collection of around 38,400 volumes of text books, reference books, national and international journals in all branches of Engineering, Science, Technology, Management and General Studies, and the collection is ever increasing. The books are classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. Open access system is followed in the library.

The Administrative Department at Kings Engineering College, headed by the Administrative Officer, serves as the operational backbone of the institution, ensuring seamless functioning across various domains. It handles critical areas such as Student Services, Human Resources, Procurement, Dispatch, and official correspondence with regulatory bodies, including AICTE, DOTE, and Anna University, Our college has a dedicated internet lab working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week .The Institution has two dedicated Internet Connections of bandwidth 300 Mbps and 80 Mbps respectively. We give free internet access to our students.. The internet can be accessed from more than 500 computers. The internet is available from anywhere in the campus as the college is fully Wi-Fi enabled We have started migrating from the proprietory software to Free and Open Source Software 7 years back and as a result, most of our computers are operated only on Open Source Technologies now.
