The Kerala Muslim Educational Association was established in 1957 with the lofty aim of setting up quality educational institutions on a par with global standards. Promoting education among minority communities and providing financial aid to the economically weak and deserving students.
Late Sri. Poker Sahib, an eminent Parliamentarian and Philanthropist and late Sri. K. M. Seethi Sahib, former speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, was the key forces behind the formation of KMEA. Former Chief Minister Sri. C. H. Muhammed Koya has also actively participated in the formation of the association.
KMEA Engineering College (KEC) was established in 2002 under the management of Kerala Muslim Educational Association, a charitable trust. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. B.TECH ADMISSION - MANAGEMENT QUOTA
Eligibility for Admission under Management Quota

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) put together are eligible for Management seats admission. (As per KEAM Prospectus 2023)
Candidates must qualify in KEAM 2023.
AGE: Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on 31st December 2023. No relaxation will be allowed.
Nationality: Candidates must be Citizens of India.
Note :

Admission is based on the % of marks of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), in qualifying examination and for KEAM 2023.
In two year Kerala Higher Secondary courses or examinations recognized equivalent thereto with two year course where the Board Examinations are conducted in both years, the total marks of two years in the respective subjects as shown in the mark lists of the respective Higher Secondary Boards will be considered for academic eligibility.

How to Apply for Management Quota Admission

Candidates can submit applications ONLINE
Applications should be complete in all respects. A candidate will be considered for admission, only if he/she has furnished the relevant certificates prescribed in the Prospectus, in proof of eligibility.
During the online application process, the candidate is required to fill the form online using the link given above, pay the application fees of 500 (Netbanking/Debit card/Credit card), update the marks when available, and upload the necessary documents.

B.TECH ADMISSION - GOVT. QUOTA

FULL TUITION FEE WAIVER SCHEME
The AICTE approved Tuition Fee Waiver scheme is implemented in the college. Accordingly 5% of the total intake will be filled under this scheme. These seats will be filled by the Govt. and eligibility for admission will be as per the norms of this scheme. The selection is made purely on the basis of Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination rank list and family income.

Eligibility :

NRI Quota Admission - 2023
The Govt. of Kerala has sanctioned an intake of 15% of students under NRI Quota and allotted to children and dependants of NRIs on the basis of marks obtained for PCM in qualifying examination. These students are admitted by the Management based on their academic eligibility as per APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University norms and exempted from qualifying in Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination 2023.

MEA Engineering College has got a strong and full-fledged Career Guidance and Placement Unit (CGPU) with a full time Placement Officer. Regular placement oriented training programmes imparted from semester one onwards. All students registered with CGPU will be provided placement assistance, counseling for employment and self/Social entrepreneurship. The CGPU assures logistic support to the visiting companies at every stage of the placement process by making campus infrastructure available to them. The CGPU will act as an interface between the industry and the students, and will primarily enable the students to select from their career options. We shall facilitate the selection process of all the companies as per their requirement. The CGPU will liaison with corporate organizations to provide suitable jobs and internship for the candidates completing their studies from the campus. The CGPU also conducts seminars and workshops to enable the students of KMEA to become successful professionals. The goal of CGPU is to provide employment opportunities and world class training to students in leading organizations. The CGPU is well equipped with ample infrastructure in terms of Testing halls, Consultancy Hall for pre placement talk, Presentations etc. All the reputed organization including MNCs comes to the college for campus recruitment. CGPU firmly believes in ‘Industry-Institute Interaction’. In order to accomplish ‘Industry-Institute Interaction’ it organized technical talks and national seminars to provide a platform for the budding engineers to interact with professionals from various industries. It encourages visits to the industries by the college students. It arranges for industrial problems to be worked on by students as part of their projects. It also takes suggestion from members of industry regarding designing/changing of curriculum.

The CGPU functioning in the College is entrusted with the responsibility of:

Guiding students for placements in credible organization.
Conducting seminars, group discussions, and mock interviews as a part of career guidance and personality development
Coordinating the efforts of the students of the various departments in arranging industrial training for them
Acting as an information center for students in job opportunities and competitive examinations like GATE, GRE,CAT and the like.

Industry Institute Interactions (III) etc.
The CGPU of the college is headed by a Placement Officer. The Cell has student representatives from all classes. The Student Coordinators interacts with the Placement Officer for the daily functioning of the Cell. The Cell has modern infrastructure facilities for receiving various companies in the campus and also for imparting training to the students. It has an air conditioned interview rooms to add to the other facilities available in the college such as conference room and a seminar hall with a capacity of 300. The College has an auditorium which can house 1500 persons at a time. Many companies have visited the campus during the academic years to select students of the college.

I have not availed any loan or scholarship. I do personally feel they provide help except for students coming from a very low financial background which is also very rare. But state scholarship for obc students was provided by the College.

HOSTEL FACILITIES
KMEA College has separate hostels for boys and girls each with all modern facilities, for boarding and other recreational activities. The hostels have their own mess to provide good and hygienic food to the students. Hostel accommodation will be provided on a first come first served basis.

BOYS HOSTEL
The boys Hostel of KMEA Engineering college is located in Edathala Panchayat and is nearby the college campus of KMEA Engineering college. The hostel campus is inaugurated during Jan 2004 starting with double floor building with the capacity of totally 40 rooms. Now the building area is turned into three-floored building with the total capacity of 61 rooms.

QUALITY OBJECTIVES :
To provide good residential facilities with neat environment.
To provide nutritious food.
To improve the team spirit, cooperation and value elders whom the students meet.

GENERAL FACILITIES
Room : There are three floors, the ground floor has 10 rooms and the first floor has 12 rooms. Among 10 rooms in the ground floor, 9 rooms are allowed to accommodate students with each room can occupy upto 3 students.
Among 12 rooms in the first floor, 10 rooms can be allotted for students, 1 room is allotted for faculties and one room is allotted as prayer room. Among 12 rooms in the second floor, 11 rooms can be allotted for students, 1 room is allotted for faculties. To involve in group studies, the students can make use of the balcony.
Mess : A spacious dining hall with seating capacity around 60 students at a time with kitchen equipments such as exhaust system, water cooler, water purifier plant, Chutney grinder, Mixer grinder and other essential utensils.
Waiting Hall : Here the visitors, parents and other outsiders are allowed to wait.
Care taking : The students are take care for 24 hours of every day by the Resident Warden and other teaching faculties stayed in hostel.
Other facilities : Quality purified water is provided to the students using water purifier. The hostel is equipped with generator of 15KVA to provide students with no power loss. 24 hours security service is provided for the hostel.
The students can relax themselves by involve in indoor or outdoor games such as chess, caroms, shuttle etc during their leisure time. For relaxation and news gathering, the students can make use of Television which is available within the Mess hall.

GIRLS HOSTEL
The Girls Hostel of KMEA Engineering college is located in Edathala Panchayat and is within the college campus of KMEA Engineering college. The remaining area is of green coverage. The hostel campus is inaugurated during Aug 2009 starting with single floor building with the capacity of totally 30 rooms. Now the building area is turned into two-floored building with the total capacity of 61 rooms. The hostel is located in an eco-friendly environment surrounded with flower plants and trees like mango, pine, coconut, etc.

There is one prayer room and one office room. Among 31 rooms in the first floor, 28 rooms can be allotted for students, 2 rooms are allotted for faculties and one room is allotted as recreation room. There is a large study hall located in the first floor. To involve in group studies, the students can make use of the study hall.
Mess : A spacious dining hall with seating capacity around 120 students at a time with kitchen equipments such as exhaust system, water cooler, water purifier plant, Chutney grinder, Mixer grinder and other essential utensils.
Waiting Hall : Here the visitors, parents and other outsiders are allowed to wait.
Care taking : The students are take care for 24 hours of every day by the Hostel Matron, Resident Warden and other teaching faculties stayed in hostel.
