Kongu School of Architecture

Kongu School of Architecture, also known as KSA, was established in the year 2015 by the Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology. The core objective of forming this School of Architecture was to provide value-based education, Inspire students for design practice, and explore knowledge to meet global requirements.

Kongu School of Architecture is located within the huge and sprawling Kongu Engineering College campus of 167 acres in size. The College is located in Perundurai, Tamilnadu, 3 Kms from Perundurai Bus Stand and 18 Kms from Erode Railway Station.

Kongu School of Architecture is approved by the Council of Architecture (CoA) New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. KSA was ranked 17th in the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) 2024.

Kongu School of Architecture offers a B.Arch Degree Course of 5 years duration spread over 10 Semesters including 1 Semester of Internship in the 5th Year. The College has a total approved intake capacity of 40 Students per year. Candidates must have qualified in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture (CoA) and must have passed either 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and 50% aggregate marks in PCM and 50% marks in aggregate OR 3 years Diploma (any stream) with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

Kongu School of Architecture uses the amenities and services of the Kongu Engineering College campus. State of Art Infrastructure Facilities provided are world class, making the experience on campus a pleasure.
Learning Facilities include Studio Cum Lecture Hall with a 2000 sq ft Floor Area. It also has a well stocked Library with e-books and Magazines concerned with Design, Graphics, Construction, Interiors, Landscape, Architectural Theories etc. Computer Lab with latest design and visualization software to encourage students to represent their ideas more innovatively. It also provides an Art Studio, Survey Lab and Climatology Lab, Model Making Workshop, Material Museum, Seminar Hall, Construction Yard and Exhibition Hall. Separate Hostels for Girls and Boys with attached Dining Halls, Transport Facilities within Perundurai, Suburbs and also to Erode Railway Station and Coimbatore Airport are available. Food Court, Dispensary, Bank, multiple ATM's, Post Office and 24x7 Water and Electric Power Supply form the long list of infrastructural facilities.
