Kousali Institute of Management Sciences, Dharwad was established in 1976. It is affiliated with Karnataka University, Dharwad and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The vision of the institute is to be a model business school and be at the forefront of business education, consultancy and research. The mission of the institute is to prepare young managers with a commitment to their profession and loyalty towards the organization they work for and train them to play the role of genuine change agent with a strong sense of business ethics. The institute is located at Dharwad, Hubli which is well connected to the nearest business hubs in Bangalore (422 km), Mumbai (600 km), Goa (210 km), and Pune (420 km) by roadways and railways & Hubli is the nearest airport.

Kousali Institute Of Management Studies placement cell was pretty supportive during the placement and internship process. Companies like Canara Bank, Century link, BILT, IS Research visited the campus to recruit students for placement and internship purposes. Kousali Institute Of Management Studies college has an impeccable placement record. From my batch, 70% of the students were placed. Some also went for their own ventures or to join their family business. But still, there is a lot of room for improvement in terms of placement packages.
