The institution was started with the approval of the Dental Council of India in the year 2007. From then onwards this institution has grown branched out, bloomed and born fruit in the form of producing dynamic doctors. All the hurdles in the path of development of our college were met successfully as it progressed from strength to strength. A massive state-of-art infrastructure to support 100 admissions with electrically operated dental chairs, laboratories, instruments, materials and the appointment of an experienced faculty has seen it to grow into an institution of repute. We have well equipped lecture halls with state of the art facilities. Regular continuing education programmes are conducted to keep the students and faculty abreast with the latest developments in the field of dentistry. Students get to examine and treat a large number of patients which improves their clinical expertise and confidence required for their private practice. Admission Procedure

KSD Karad Courses are offered at UG, PG, Doctorate level. There are 16 courses offered at KSD Karad. The courses are offered disciplines like Medical, Science, Dental, Paramedical. KVV Karad courses includes BDS, MDS, Ph.D.

Admission Criteria

BDS Admission

Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth offers admission to its MBBS and BDS courses based on scores in the NEET UG entrance exam, followed by state counseling. 85% of total seat intake is to be filled through MCI cousnelling based on All India Rank and 15% of the seats are to be filled via institute level counselling.

B.D.S. Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates shall be an Indian National and have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of his / her admission to the College.
  
• He should have passed the (10+2) Higher Secondary Schools Certificate Examination or an equivalent.
  
• In case of Foreign candidates, He/she should have passed examination from any School / College situated abroad, as equivalent thereto shall submit equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
  
• An applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50 % marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination.
  
• Candidates belonging to Schedule Castes / Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together shall be 40%.

MDS Eligibility Criteria

• A candidate will be eligible for registration for Post Graduate Degree, if he has completed satisfactorily one year rotating internship after passing Final M.B.B.S.
• Examination and has got himself registered with the State Medical Council.
  
• No person shall be registered for the Post Graduate Degree course unless such a person is in a position to work as a full-time Resident student for the period applicable in his case.
  
• The candidate will be selected according to the existing rules and regulations issued by the Medical Council of India.
  
• The academic merit, for admission to degree and diploma courses shall be on the basis of merit as determined by NEET provided further that minimum percentile of marks for eligibility for admission to Post Graduate Course shall be 50 percentile or as decided by the Govt. of India at the entrance test.

The library hosts more than 52000 print resources. The library also subscribes many electronic resources as a component of digital library, which includes approximately 34000 e-books, 37500 e-journals, e-standards, 15 e-databases, etc. These information resources promote and advance teaching & learning and facilitates improved productivity and qualitative research. All the students and faculty can access the e-resources subscribed by the library remotely by using Open Athens software enabled learner. The entire library is Wi-Fi enabled and a security system with 51 CCTV is present in all the floors.

Krishna School of Dental Sciences, Karad is located in Western Maharashtra, India between the mountains and valleys. The green, eco-friendly campus is spread over 57 acres and is well connected by rail, road & air. Its teaching hospital (KH & MRC) is NABH accredited, and the laboratories KIMS Diagnostic and Molecular Biology & Genetics are NABL accredited. So also it's Blood Bank accredited by NABH.

Hostel
