Krishnasamy College of Engineering & Technology (KCET) a Top Class Engineering College in Tamil Nadu was established in the year 2001 by Sri Krishnasamy Reddiar Educational Trust with the sole motto of “EDUCATION, DISCIPLINE and EXALTATION”. The management is committed to provide quality technical education to the students, in particular from rural areas. Dr K Rajendran, M.S., FICS., FAIS.,is the Founder, Managing Trustee and Chairman & Dr (Mrs) K.N. Gnanasundari, MBBS, DGO is the Trustee, Mr N Vijayakumar B.A, B.L is the Trustee-Secretary and Mr N Rajaraman, B.A, F.C.A is also a Trustee. The trust oversees a diverse array of educational institutions, including a Polytechnic College, Arts Science and Management College for women. These institutions provide a comprehensive educational experience, fostering both academic excellence and personal development in their respective fields to thrive in today’s dynamic world.

KCET is located on 36.29 Acres land away from traffic and dust and is situated in Nellikuppam Main Road, S. Kumarapuram, Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu. The College is 12 Kms from Panruti Railway Station, 7.6 Km from Panruti Bus Stand and 176 Kms away from Chennai International Airport.

KCET has its approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the College.

The College offers 5 B.E, 2 B.Tech& 2 M.E disciplines. Apart from this there is also one option of an MCA. The College has provision for a number of Scholarship sponsored by the Government for Merit, Backward Class, Economic Status, Sports Achievement, Minority Status, Girl Child and others,

6)PUDHUMAI PENN SCHEME :

• To enhance the enrolment ratio of girls from Government Schools and Goverment Aided(Tamil Medium) to Higher Education Institutions, the financial assistance of Rs.1000/month will be provided to the girls till the completion of their UG Degree / Diploma / ITI / any other recognized course.
  
• In Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme ,the enrolment ratio of boys from Government Schools(Tamil Medium) to Higher Education Institutions, the financial assistance of Rs.1000/month will be provided to the boys till the completion of their UG Degree / Diploma / ITI / any other recognized course.
  
• The incentive amount under this scheme will be disbursed directly to the student’s Bank Account.
  
• Tuition fee waiver concession granted by Govt. who is the first graduate in the family, for the students admitted under Govt. Quota -I year as well as Lateral entry students-II year B.E. from the year 2010-11 onwards.
