Kristu Jayanti College of Law is affiliated to the Karnataka State Law University. A majority of higher educational institutions are established in the southern and eastern parts of Bangalore. The northern part of Bangalore District, which is semi-urban and rural, lacked educational and industrial development. In order to build vibrant academic environment and expand opportunities for socio-economic change in this geographical area, the college was started at K.Narayanapura in Kothanur from Bangalore city. The college had a humble beginning in the year 2017 with 3 courses and 73 students and has been growing constantly ever since.

The institution strives to fulfil its mission to provide educational opportunities to all aspiring youth to excel in life by developing academic excellence, fostering values, creating civic responsibility and building global competencies in a dynamic environment.

The College comes under the patronage of Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous), founded in 1999, which is run by "BODHI NIKETAN TRUST", formed by the members of St. Joseph Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). The college is affiliated to Bangalore University and is reaccredited with highest grade 'A' by NAAC in Second Cycle of Accreditation. The college is recognized by UGC under the category 2(f) & 12(B). The college was accorded autonomous status from 2013 by the University Grants Commission, Government of Karnataka & the Bangalore University, in India Today - Nielsen survey 2015.

Admission Processes

1. All aspiring candidates are requested to apply online for their Admission.

2. Candidates awaiting their results can apply for the course with their plus one marks and update the online application forms as soon as their plus two marks are available.

3. Counseling dates for candidates who have been selected for the interview will be announced in the college website and the respective candidates will also be intimated through their registered e-mail ids provided in their application forms.

4. The list of candidates who have been selected provisionally for admission after the interviews will be published on the college website and the same will be intimated through their registered Email Id along with the link for the fee payment. After successful fee remittance, the candidate will receive the fee paid receipt along with their Provisional admit card.

5. The reporting date will be intimated to the provisionally selected candidates through their registered email id.

6. Candidate should submit the relevant documents mentioned on the provisional admit card for the approval of admission.

7. Documents submission date and time will be informed to the candidate after the inaugural day.

The placement and career guidance cell also invites law firms for campus placement. Industry - Institution - community interactions have contributed a great deal to the Institution. The interactions provided an opportunity to the students to associate with senior Counsel’s office for internship. Some of the students are absorbed as Junior to leading senior advocates. These interactions contributed in upgrading academic and research facilities. Students are trained in English language speaking skills through the aid of soft skills to enable them for a better performance in profession. The collaboration with Shivamogga District Bar Association has facilitated the students placement as Junior Advocates attached to various Senior Advocates office. Members of Alumni Association also provide Junior-ship to pass out students. Various career guidance programs are also conducted by the college in Linkage with University and Alumni.

Jayantian Achievement Scholarship (JAS): JAS offers a sum of INR 10,000 every year to students who are excellent in their academics. To avail of this scholarship, BCom /BBM / BA /BSc students should secure at least 75 percent aggregate and students pursuing BSc (Life Science) /BCA programmes are required to obtain at least 80 per cent aggregate.

Jayantian Talent Scholarship (JTS): To encourage students to outperform in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, the college offers a JTS scheme that provides INR 10,000 to the students who have represented the college and won at least one prize at the University/ State/ National level competitions. The minimum eligibility criteria for this scholarship entails securing at least 60% aggregate & a minimum of 85% attendance.

Jayantian Upliftment Scholarship (JUS): Students are required to obtain a minimum of 60% aggregate, & 85% attendance to avail of this scholarship. Each eligible student shall be awarded INR 10,000.

Jayantian Determination Scholarship (JDS): JDS assists Divyangjan students for INR 20,000.

Library

Kristu Jayanti College is well known for its performance and achievements in sports and games. The Sports department coordinates the events which help students to perform well in all sports and game events at University, State, and National Level. The Department in collaboration with many recognized coaches gives coaching to students in various games like basketball, football, cricket, throwball, volleyball, badminton, and table tennis. Outstanding state-of-the-art facilities to coach students and considerable investment every year to have quality types of equipment is a commitment to the college undertakes.

Boys Hostel
Separate hostels are provided for boys. The hostels for girls are managed by the religious congregation of nuns. As an extended home, the hostel facilitates the students to carry out serious study and to grow spiritually, intellectually, physically, and psychologically. The college tradition and discipline are also extended to the hostels.

Medical/Hospital
Kristu Jayanti College of Law aims at providing holistic legal education and to sensitize young lawyers to the needs of the underprivileged. In this endeavor, the Legal Aid Cell established in the college reaches out to the less fortunate who cannot afford to reckon the courts of justice. The Legal Service Clinic comprising of faculty members and students offer legal and paralegal services by conducting door-to-door campaigning, awareness programs, and legal literacy programs.

A Moot Court helps in simulating the proceedings in a court with the appropriate ambiance. The college is having well-furnished Moot Court Hall where all the students of the LL.B. program will be trained to participate in National and International Moot Courts.
