The Kammavari Sangham, a multi-activity non-profit oriented voluntary service organization, was established in the year 1952 with the sole objective of providing charitable service to community and society. The Sangham has diversified its activities since its establishment over five decades ago. With a firm belief that quality and meaningful education only can lay the strong foundation for bringing about economic and social changes to the lives of thousand, the Sangham went about establishing educational institutions, starting with K.S. Polytechnic in 1992. Enthused with this success of its foray into technical education, the Sangham moved forward by starting the K. S Institute Of Technology (KSIT). Its Engineering College in the year 1999. In the following years both these institutions have carved for themselves an enviable niche through academic excellence achieved in a very short span of time.

Following the success of KSIT, the Sangham ventured to start yet another technical institution, offering both engineering and management studies, K.S Group of Institutions (KSGI) was started in the year 2010. KSGI was renamed as K.S. School of Engineering & Management in 2011. KSSEM is now accredited by NAAC

• By providing FREE hostel accommodation and scholarship to the deserving students in the community, it has furthered its Commitment to education.
  
• Apart from the educational initiatives, on the cultural front, the Sangham has ventured to build and manage Convention centers.
  
• These serve as venues for community cultural events including conducting of mass marriages among the economically underprivileged in the Kamma Community.
  

Towards encouraging and nourishing entrepreneurial trait among the community members, the Sangham also started Kammavari Credit Co-operative Society to mobilize deposits and finance enterprises. Furthermore, to be of service to the sick and the suffering, the Sangham has established a modern hospital in Bangalore with the latest diagnostic and treatment services.

K. S School of Engineering and Management, KSSEM in short, was born on 11th October 1999, out of a commitment to the cause of providing value based technical education. Its strength lies in its founding objectives, the eminence of its management who are experienced men drawn from various fields, the coming together of dedicated, experienced and well qualified teaching staff, the establishment of a modern infrastructure with state-of-art equipment and laboratory facilities and the interactive relationship its forged with the industry.Excellent academic performance in the University examinations in all the years so far gives us the impetus to embark upon post graduate programmes and the establishment of a research cell in the near future. Establishment of these institutions will be a quick reality with hundreds of the Sangham members contributing generously.

Set on the mission to excel in every activity that the Sangham has embarked upon, KSSEM carries forward the Sanghams vision under an eminent Governing Council, and an inspiring academic leadership translated in the enviable academic performance of its students.The objective of the management committee of KSSEM is to impart quality education and to help students develop the abilities of problem solving, creative thinking and adaptability in their chosen field.

Admission Procedure

K.S. School of Engineering and Management Bangalore Courses are offered at UG, PG level. There are 14 courses offered at K.S. School of Engineering and Management Bangalore. Admission criteria

BE Admission 

KSSEM Bangalore offers a four-year Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) program. Candidates must appear for the KCET entrance examination to be admitted. The institute also offers admission to some seats based on management quota.

B.E. Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for admission to the B.E program at KSSEM Bangalore, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

• 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board of education.
• Marks in 10+2 should not be less than 45% (40% for reserved category candidates).

M.Tech Admission

KSSEM Bangalore offers a two-year M.Tech program. For admission to the program, candidates are required to appear for GATE or PGCET entrance examination.

M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the M.Tech program at KSSEM Bangalore, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

• B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree from a recognized university or institute with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
• For candidates belonging to SC/ST/Group, the aggregate percent of marks in the qualifying examination should not be less than 45%.
• A valid score in the GATE or PGCET entrance examination.

MBA Admission

KSSEM Bangalore offers a full-time MBA program under Visvesvaraya Technological University for two years. The program has an annual intake capacity of 60. For admission to the program, candidates are required to appear for the CMAT or PGCET entrance exam.

MBA Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to the MBA program at KSSEM Bangalore, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum aggregate score of 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates).
• A valid score in the CMAT or PGCET entrance examination.

Placement

KSSEM acknowledges the continuous support received from the companies which has strengthened the Industry-Institution interface. The students are given opportunities for internships and part-time jobs and are deputed from the respective departments for internships. Our students from both under graduate and post graduate programs have been successfully placed in reputed companies. Some of the companies have collaborated with departments to bring industry and domain specific modules with practical inputs which have helped our students in placements.

The academic year 2018- 2019 saw a slew of companies picking up students from KSSEM. Bangalore being the IT capital of India, it was no wonder that majority of the students were placed in IT/ ITES. There is a strong thrust towards balancing this ratio by bringing in core companies as well.

Library of K.S. School of Engineering and Management was established in the year 2010. It is the centre for intellectual and academic excellence. The knowledge centreplays a dynamic role by supporting its users in teaching, learning and research. Its main objective is to provide best services to its users with the help of resources available in its collection. It provides physical and digital access to the materials. Well-maintained, good, peaceful and user-friendly environment attracts users to the library. It frequently provides awareness to its users.

Library occupies 1102 sq. mts area with a seating capacity for 150 users. Librarian's Cabin, Circulation Counter, Stack Area, Technical Processing Section, Reference Section, Digital Library, Periodicals Section and Reading Rooms are the different sections of the library. Library has a hybrid collection of printed as well as electronic resources which includes books, journals, project reports, bound volumes, previous year question papers, CD's, course materials, e-books, e-journals, e-conference proceedings etc.

Sports are a crucial part of a student's growth and development. They help in the development of mental health and physical fitness of the body. Through participation in sports and games, a student gains various skills, experience and confidence, that are helpful for developing their personality.

At K S School of Engineering and Management, the Department of Physical Education & Sports is a cell of major activity in the Campus. The Department of Physical Education & Sports is well equipped with modern infrastructure. The department encourage all kind of sports activities like Athletics, Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom, Yoga, Martial Arts etc. Plenty of encouragement and opportunities are given to the students to participate in different sports. Students of KSSEM actively participate in Inter-Collegiate Sports and Games organized by VTU and other organizations.

Separate hostels are provided for boys and girls situated within walking distance from the college for convenience. The hostels are prepared to be an extended home. the hostel facilitates completely support students to carry out serious study and to grow physically, intellectually and psychology. The college tradition and discipline is also extended to the hostels.
