K.S.R. Institute of Dental Science and Research, a Unit of the KSR Group of Institutions, was established in September 2004.   Lion Dr. K. S. Rangasamy, MJF, the Founder Chairman of the college is a well-known philanthropist in Tiruchengode.  With a mission to take education to backward areas of his region, he started the Aarthi Educational and Charitable Trust.  His amazing contribution to the field of education has earned him the title ‘KalviRathna’.  Conceived with the objective of providing excellent training facilities to produce Dentists of the highest caliber, the institute has been able to make this a possibility, with the active cooperation of the management and staff alike.  Since inception, the college has been providing a platform for students to achieve their dreams and has focused on developments in the field of Dentistry for the welfare of people.

KSRIDSR is grounded in a Campus which is 7 acres in size.  It is located in KSR Kalvi Nagar, Thokavadi, Kuchipalayam Post, Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu. The Institute is located 8 kms from Tiruchengode, and 14 kms from Erode on the Erode-Tiruchengode-Rasipuram State Highway (SH-79).  Erode Junction, the nearest railway station, is at a distance of 14 kms and Coimbatore International Airport is120 kms from the campus.

The KSR Institute of Dental Science and Research is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.  It is recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Dental Council of India.

K.S.R Institute of Dental Science and Research is among the better equipped Dental Educational Institutions in the country which offers both undergraduate (B.D.S.) and postgraduate (M.D.S.) courses in dentistry.  All departments are adequately furnished with the necessary diagnostic and research equipment. The institution also strives to keep in sync with the changing times and constantly upgrades its facilities, in the interest of patients and students.  For BDS admission with an intake of 100 seats into the Institute, the Candidates must qualify for the NEET UG entrance exam conducted by NTA. For admission to MDS Degree program, Candidates must qualify for the NEET MDS entrance exam conducted by NBEMS.

The basic facilities that are provided by KSR Dental College Tiruchengode include Library, Sports, Cafeteria, Auditorium, Medical/Hospital, IT Infrastructure, and more.

K.S.R. Institute of Dental Science and Research functions in two spacious buildings with a combined floor area of over 28,000 sq.m.. The Dental Council of India has recognized the Institute as a Centre of Excellence for post-graduation in dentistry. The new building complex houses various Dental departments, Central Library as well as the out-patient registration counters. Administrative offices, Lecture halls, Auditorium and Basic Sciences Departments are a part of the old building complex. Over 250 outpatients attend the dental departments every day for treatment.  The college is endowed with a highly qualified team of Faculty members that imparts knowledge and hones the skills of the students. The syllabus laid down by the Dental Council of India is followed. For clinical training in general medicine and general surgery, the college has tie-ups with Government Hospital, Tiruchengode and Sree Gokulam Hospital, Salem.

KSRIDSR is well-equipped with a variety of Instruments and Equipments that provide excellent research opportunities for Graduate students and Research faculty. Students and faculty of the various institutions under KSREI are permitted to use the facilities available with the Dental College, thus fostering interdisciplinary research.

The college offers BDS on a UG level and MDS on a PG level. B.D.S is a course offered at the UG level and has various specializations offers under it. Both BDS and MDS degrees are approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, recognized by the Dental Council of India, and granted by The Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University. The duration of the BDS program is four years plus one-year compulsory rotatory internship. During this period, the student is required to be engaged in full-time study at this institution. K.S.R. Institute of Dental Science and Research UG Admission 2020: Eligibility Criteria, Admission Criteria
The candidates must complete their 10+2 qualifications to become eligible. The selection of students is based on the policies of the State Government.

Candidates must qualify in 10+2 / A level / IB / American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology, and English individually, from a recognized Board

A minimum of 50 % marks individually in Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology / Biotechnology is required

KSR Institute of Dental Science and Research - KIDSR aims to provide placement assistance for all eligible students. Placement is a privilege extended to the students but can’t be claimed as a matter of right.
Please note that, we are not a part of the institute, we just gives you updates regarding Jobs and Campus Placements. We doesn’t allow the students to pay any amount to any agency/mediator for placements.
