KS Rangasamy College of Technology, Tiruchengode which is widely popular as KSRCT, Tiruchengode is a vital part of the enormous KSR Group of Institutions.  The foundation stone of the college was laid in 1994, by the college Chairman, Lion Dr K. S. Rangasamy, and is progressively carving a distinct place for itself under his tutelage.  The “KS” in the college name stands for Karuveppampatti Sennimalai Gounder, the father of the erstwhile Chairman.  It has the ninth largest intake of students in recent times (as per AICTE approval) of the self-financing Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. 

KSRCT is located in a scenic campus area of over 300 acres with a built-up area of 12 lakh square feet.  The College is situated in KSR Kalvi Nagar, Tiruchengode, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu and can be easily reached through various means of transport and it.  Varappalayam Bus Stop,which is just 1.1 km away from the college. The Anangur Railway Station is the closest railway station at a distance of 4.7 kms.  The closest airport to the KSRCT is Coimbatore International Airport which is about 106 km away.

K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology is an autonomous engineering college, affiliated to Anna University.  Programs at KSRCT have been accredited by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of the University Grants Commission (UGC), has accredited the university with a 'A++'.  However, some of the programs offered by KSRCT are not accredited by such bodies.  KSRCT was certified with the ISO 9001:2000 (E) on 28 December 2001, by RWTUV, a German-based external ISO certifying agency.  It is one of the earliest institutes to be awarded this certificate, and all the activities and processes of the departments comply with the ISO 9001:2000 (E) standards.

KSRCT, Thiruchengode offers 14 Undergraduate and 11 Postgraduate programs and draws students from all over India.  The courses offered include a total of 23 specializations in BE/ B.Tech, ME/ M.Tech and MBA degree courses at UG and PG levels.   For KSRCT admissions the institute accepts TANCET, 12th exams and GATE entrance exams for its programs.

KSRCT infrastructure is spread over the entire campus, encompassing all of its Academic Blocks, Administrative Buildings, Auditoriums, Library, Hostels, and more present on the KSRCT campus.
