KVG College of Engineering established in 1986 is one of the most reputed Engineering Colleges sponsored by the Academy of Liberal Education (R) led by Founder & Chairman Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda & Active General Secretary K V Renuka Prasad.  The Engineering College popularly known as KVGCE was one of the first private sector and semi government sector initiatives in technical education in Dakshina Kannada based on one of the government aided initiatives.

 
KVG College of Engineering campus is spread over an area of 24.90 acres and is located in Junior College Road, Kurunjibhag, Sullia, Dakshina Kannada. It is one of the largest Mega Educational Complexes in India.

 
KVGCE is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

 
KVG College of Engineering offers various UG and PG programs in the fields of Engineering and Management.  It offers BE and MTech degree courses in 6 disciplines each and also has the PG program MBA.  The admissions to UG programs are on the basis of merit in the Karnataka CET test/COMED-K scores.  Students are admitted to postgraduate courses on basis of their GATE test scores, as well as on their Post Graduate Karnataka CET scores.  Candidates with a valid GATE score get preference during the MBA admission process.

 
KVGCE is further modernizing its sprawling campus with State-of Art Classroom Facilities, Laboratories, Research Infrastructure & overall Extra-curricular activities.  Its infrastructural facilities include Library, Hostel, Auditorium, ATM, Canteen, Computer Lab, Counselling, Guest house, Gym, Mess, Medical Facilities, Placement, Sports, Ground, Transportation, WiFi, etc.  The College also has various Cells, Clubs and Committees to cater to the welfare of the student community like EDC, SC/ST/OBC Cell, Minority Cell, CICC, Grievance & Redressal Cell, Student Welfare Cell, Anti-Ragging Cell, Sports Clubs, Language lab, Entrepreneurship Cell, Alumni Association, etc.  KVGCE is pursuing this modernization in line with its objective of providing Industry-Ready Engineers/ Managers while fostering Industry-lead Research & Inter-Institution and Intra-Institution collaboration.

 
Training and Placement Cell at KVG College of Engineering plays an active role in preparing students to be competent technocrats through quality training to bring excellence in Personality development, Communication Skills, Industry to Institute Convergence, Expert interaction sessions, Aptitude tests, Confidence Grooming Sessions, Group Discussion and Mock Interview Sessions, Public Sector Competitive Exams Training, Technical Training and Industry Internship Programs.  Students are professionally groomed to meet the unfolding dynamic environment and are well equipped to manage working norms set by the Industry.  Pre-Placement Training is imparted by Internal Faculty as well as External Professional vendors.  In addition, Eminent Engineers and Personalities are invited to deliver Lectures and Seminars on emerging fields, with a view to bring out the technical expertise within the students.

 
Reputed companies regularly visit KVGCE for placements. Combined campus pool is organized with 20 Engineering colleges in the Mangalore region to enhance job opportunities to the students.  The College has tie up with Infosys, TCS and other companies to keep the students abreast for latest technologies.

 
KVG College of Engineering organizes co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for students like NSS - National Service Scheme and RISE - Representatives of Information Science & Engineering.  Annual Blood donation camps are also organized by informal student groups.

Admission Procedure
In the admission procedure, allotment of seats and fees structure for all the seats, our College strictly adheres the order of the Government of Karnataka amended from time to time and prevalent at the date of admission . As per the order of the Government of Karnataka, the allotment and distribution of the seats are as follows:

45% of the seats are filled by the Government of Karnataka through Common Entrance Test (CET).
55% of the seats are filled by Management.

Placement Cell

Training and Placement Cell was an integral part of our Institution with objectives of preparing students as competent technocrats. Students are professionally developed to meet the unfolding dynamic environment through quality training to bring excellence on Personality development, Communication Skills, Industry to Institute Convergence expert interaction sessions, Aptitude tests, Confidence Grooming Sessions, Group Discussion and Mock Interview Sessions, Public Sector Competitive Exams Training, Technical Training and Industry Internship Programs. Due to this students are well equipped to manage working norms set by the Industry. We impart state of the art training to students to make them competent and inspired engineers.

Training is imparted by Internal Faculties and External Professional vendors as part of pre placement training. Eminent engineers and personalities are invited to deliver lectures and hold seminars on emerging fields, with a view to bring out the technical expertise within the students. We are working more closely than ever before to mold the generations of students to make a resounding global impact. Many books are available in the library to help students prepare for interviews. Efforts are on to improve the communication, group discussion and presentation skills of the students. English Language lab was established to robust the communication skills which is pre requisite in the corporate world.
