LJ Group of Institutes is overseen by Lok Jagruti Kendra (LJK), a Charitable Trust and Registered Society founded in 1980 by distinguished academicians and visionaries such as Prof. B.M. Peerzada, former Dean of Commerce Faculty at Gujarat University, Padma Bhushan Lord Meghnad Desai (London School of Economics), Prof. Gautam Appa (LSE), Late Prof. M.S. Trivedi, former Vice Chancellor of South Gujarat University, esteemed jurist Late Shri Girishbhai Patel, and Shri Subodhbhai Shah. The vision was to be "a key player in education and social development by promoting and nurturing creativity, scholarship, innovation, and excellence through a chain of quality institutes." LJK's mission has been "to establish and manage institutions with an environment in which new ideas, delivery strategies, and scholarship flourish, and from where leaders and innovators of tomorrow shall emerge."
LJK oversees 32 institutions on two well-developed, environmentally friendly campuses with dedicated buildings and infrastructure facilities. These institutes offer various diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs approved by respective apex bodies. LJ Institutes collectively serve over 21,000 students and have 1000+ faculties engaged in teaching, learning, research, and extension activities. The focus is on developing students into well-rounded citizens equipped not only with the necessary subject knowledge and skills but also with empathy towards various environmental, social, cultural, and other issues affecting society.

LJIET Admission
L.J. Institute of Engineering and Technology (LJIET) offers a 4-year B.Tech program in 9 streams and a 2-year M.Tech program in 6 streams at UG and PG levels. LJIET also offers other PG-level programs such as MBA and MCA. LJIET is affiliated to Gujarat Technical University (GTU).
Admissions to the MBA program is based on the marks obtained by the applicant in CMAT followed by an interview.
GATE or PGECET score is mandatory to secure admission in the M.Tech program.
For admission to any of the B.Tech courses, the candidates need to clear the minimum cut-off in JEE Main or Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET)
The Centralized Admission process is followed by LJIET for both UG and PG programs i.e. a complete cycle from application to the final admission of the candidates followed by fee deposition. This process is conducted by the Joint Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) of the State.
To be eligible for the Gujarat engineering admission process conducted by ACPC the applicant must have obtained 60% marks in 10+2 and 40% preference in GUJCET or JEE Main.
