Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, popularly known as LTMMC Mumbai, is a government college established in 1964. LTMMC is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and the University of Mumbai. The college is recognized by the Medical Council of India.

LTMMC Mumbai has been ranked 18th under Medical Category by India Today in 2025, and has been ranked 75th under Medical Category by Collegedunia in 2025. The college offers courses at the UG and PG levels, with B.P.T being the flagship course. Admission to BPT & BOTh is based on the scores in the NEET UG exam, followed by State Counseling conducted by the Maharashtra State CET Cell. Admission to MBBS, MD, and MS is based on the NEET UG and NEET PG exams, followed by the NEET state counseling conducted by Maharashtra State CET Cell or All India Quota counseling conducted by MCC. Admission Procedure

Admission Criteria

MBBS Admission 2025

LTMMC, Mumbai, offers the MBBS program at the undergraduate level for a duration of 5.5 years, which also includes one year of compulsory rotating medical internship. Admission to MBBS is based on the score obtained by the candidates in the NEET UG exam, followed by Maharashtra NEET Counseling conducted by CET Cell or MCC Counseling for AIR Quota.

UG Admission 2025

LTMMC Mumbai offers various other courses at the undergraduate level apart from MBBS, such as BPT, BOT, and BPMT. The selection of candidates for all the UG courses is the NEET UG exam, except for BPMT, for which admission is granted based on the MHT-CET exam.

PG Admission 2025

LTMMC, Mumbai, offers various courses such as MD, MS, MPT, MOTh, and PG Diploma at the postgraduate level in almost all specialties. Candidates who have completed an MBBS Degree or its equivalent degree course from a recognized university are eligible for admission to all the PG programs offered by LTMMC Mumbai.

• Admission to the MD, MS programs is based on the score in NEET PG, followed by the counseling conducted by the Maharashtra State CET Cell or MCC Counseling for All India Quota.

L. T. M. Medical College Library has its origin in a small telephone operator’s room in 1950, belonging to the L. T. M. G. Hospital. When in November 1964, the medical college was started; library shifted to the larger space & now in 2023 it has 15524.09 sq.ft total area at its credit.

Room distribution is done by RMO council which is adequately represented by RMOs and on the basis of their role in patient care. Duty rooms are given to anesthesia, radiology, pathology, microbiology, skin and psychiatry departments. On call residents rooms are provided to these departments as these residents are not having patients under their care who require continuous management in the wards.
