LRG Government Arts College for Women, Tirupur which is also known as LRGGAC Tirupur was established in the year 1971 named after Shri LRG Naidu. LRGGAC courses consist of a total of 53 programmes in the disciplines of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, Commerce, Sciences and Management & Business Administration at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in the BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, MA, M.Com, M.Sc, M.Phil, and Ph.D degree courses. LRGGAC Tirupur admissions to the said courses are done based on the marks of the previous qualifying examinations obtained by the candidates followed by a round of counselling. According to the data provided by the NIRF, about 25 students were placed in the LRGGAC Tirupur placements 2022.

LRGGAC Tirupur college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a ‘B’ grade. LRG Government Arts College for Women is also an affiliated college of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore (BU Coimbatore). A total of 234 students were admitted in year 2019-20 for 2 year PG degree at L.R.G. Government Arts College for Women and 211 completed their graduation in 2020-21.
