Mahalakshmi Tech Campus is part of the Mahalakshmi Group of Institutions was founded in the year 2011-12 and has the approval of AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai.The key individuals of the Leadership Team who steer the college are the Group Chairman and the Principal of the Institute who in turn are assisted by a Governing Body with the Academic Council and Finance Committee being the crucial wings. All these internal bodies and councils consist of well experienced and motivated individuals drawn from the field of Education and Business.

Eligibility

• These 4-year undergraduate programs are designed for students who have completed their higher secondary education (Plus Two) and wish to specialize in various branches of engineering.
• This 3-year program is aimed at students who have completed a Diploma in Engineering, allowing them to directly enter the second year of the B.E / B.Tech course. (B.E / B.Tech Lateral Entry )

Merit-Based Scholarships

• MTC provides merit scholarships based on students' performance in their first semester:
  
• Chairman’s Merit Scholarship (CMS): 50% fee waiver for students scoring between 181–200 marks in their +2 exams. To retain this scholarship, students must maintain a GPA of 9.0 or above in the first semester.
  
• Dean’s Merit Scholarship: 25% fee waiver for students scoring between 171–180 marks in their +2 exams. A GPA of 8.5 or above in the first semester is required for continuity.
  
• Department Merit Scholarship: 10% fee waiver for students scoring between 161–170 marks in their +2 exams. Maintaining a GPA of 7.5 or above in the first semester is necessary to continue receiving this scholarship
