Maharaja Institute of Technology Thandavapura, a Unit of the Maharaja Education Trust Mysore, is a pioneer engineering institute in the state of Karnataka which was established in the year 2016. The institute was founded by a group of eminent people recognised for their eminence in the field of Science and Engineering technology as well as renowned academicians with an experience of 30+ years in Research, Teaching & Administration. Many of them have served at the highest levels of AICTE and University.
MITT’s Green Eco-friendly Campus is situated at a beautiful, enchanting and sprawling landscape set in 25 acres of land on the Mysore-Ooty Road, Just off NH 766, Nanjangud Taluk, Thandavapura, Mysore, Karnataka.
Maharaja Institute of Technology Thandavapura is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgavi and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It has been accredited by ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 21001:2018.
MITT offers a number of UG and PG programs with BE/BTech Degrees being offered in 6 disciplines as well as PG degrees in MBA and MCA. Admission to all UG courses will be on the basis of COMEDK UGET/KCET. For MBA admissions, the candidates should have appeared in GMAT/Karnataka PGCET/ KMAT. The candidates will also have to appear for the counselling and group discussion.
MITT provides various facilities to its students like Library (including Book Bank Service, Lending Service, Digital Library service, Multimedia and periodical service), Computer Centre, Sports Ground, separate Boys & Girls Hostels, IT Infrastructure, Guest Room / Waiting Room, Medical facilities, Auditorium, Cafeteria, well-equipped Laboratories, Transportation, Clubs and many more facilities.

Maharaja Institute of Technology, Thandavapura has been conducting Programs on various Skills like Life Skills for its students under the Entrepreneur and Technical Skills Development Program (ETSDP). The objective of this program is to make a student ‘Industry Ready’ and bridge the gap between classroom teaching and Industry needs. The Programs under ETSDP are conducted progressively every week and they are part of the academic weekly schedule. The Program exposes the students to the various requirements of the ‘Interview Preparedness’. The modules that are covered under the ETSDP are English Language enhancement, Business Communication Skills, Problem Solving skills and Soft Skills – under which the students are facilitated with the sessions on Self Awareness, Self-Motivation, Interpersonal and Intrapersonal Skills, Group Discussions, debates, Interview facing, Etiquettes etc. A team of dedicated faculty exclusively for ETSDP looks after the Programs and schedules every week and a progress record of every student is maintained.
