Admission Process
MGIMS Wardha Admission is offered for UG, PG, and Doctoral courses in various specializations. The institute was established in 1969 and is located at Sevagram, Maharashtra. MGIMS Wardha is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik. Admission to all courses at MGIMS is based on merit. The institution’s flagship program is the MBBS course, which is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Admission to the MBBS program requires candidates to take the NEET entrance exam. To be eligible for admission, students must have completed their 10+2 education in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Typically, the NEET cutoff for the general category and the All India quota for MGIMS Wardha ranges from 9238 to 15928.
MBBS Admission 2025
MGIMS Wardha offers admission to MBBS courses based on merit in NEET UG to eligible candidates. The institute offers an annual intake of 100 seats. The MBBS program is offered for 4.5 years and is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
MBBS Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have passed higher secondary/10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology.
- The age limit for admission to MBBS at MGIMS Wardha ranges between 17 years - 25 years (30 years for reserved categories).

MD/MS Admission 2025
MGIMS Wardha offers admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma at the postgraduate level for 3 years and 2 years, respectively. Eligible candidates qualifying the minimum cutoff marks in NEET PG are selected for admission.
MD/MS/PG Diploma Eligibility Criteria
- For admission to the MD/MS at MGIMS Wardha, aspirants must have an MBBS degree from a recognized university.
- They must have completed one year of rotational internship before applying for the MD/MS program.
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant specialization are eligible for admission to the PG Diploma.
Placement
While medical education is more about internships, hospital training and PG progression than conventional “placement”, MGIMS provides strong clinical exposure via the attached hospital, which aids in PG admissions and hospital roles.

MGIMS Wardha is spread over a 450-acre campus in Sevagram. The state-of-the-art library is spread across 16000 square feet, features a waiting area, lounge chairs, sofas, and cushioned tiered reading spaces for 225 undergraduate students, 100 postgraduate students, and 75 faculty members. In addition to 50,000 journals and books, the library also hosts an audio-visual room, a group discussion room, a 50-seat computer section, a reprography area, areas for study, secure archival storage for books, theses, and journals, and a cafeteria. The entire area is wi-fi enabled. The library has subscribed to 105 medical journals; 32 of them were international journals with 7 e-journals having very high impact factor, such as Lancet, New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine, BMJ, and Archives of Internal Medicine, and 73 national journals.
Mahila Mandal and the Indian Coffee House (ICH) are two favorite spots- places where you might find more students than they are in the classrooms! The Mahila Mandal is a women-run-canteen serving and catering the culinary needs of most undergraduates, interns and post graduates. The ICH is a small meal eatery run by two south-Indians fondly called "Anna". They serve some of the most unusual combinations - gourmet meals- which can surely steal your heart. The special coffee they prepare and serve can beat one served at Starbucks!Kasturba Hospital at Sevagram has now grown into a nearly 1000- bed teaching hospital. Like all public and teaching hospitals, our hospital is also fairly busy. Take for instance, the health-related events that the hospital generates on a typical Monday. Over a 24-hour period, close to 1700 patients access the outpatient care in the hospital, hospital pharmacies deal with 1800 prescriptions, 140 patients seek admission to the hospital wards, 14 patients undergo major surgeries, 12 babies are delivered, and 20 units of blood are transfused. In addition, 270 patients undergo radiography, 65 ultrasound examinations, 14 computed tomography, and seven patients have a magnetic resonance imaging scan.

The laboratories report 750 biochemical tests, 510 complete blood counts, 100 serologic tests, 20 cytology samples and 15 biopsy specimens. A team of a little over 100 consultants, 120 residents, 60 interns, and 250 nurses - all staying on campus- continues its tradition of excellence today. Library
A large library satisfies the needs of bibliophiles and fulfils their urge of learning. Come winter- and summer- you will find students occupying every seat that a library can provide. It’s hard for one to go without being answered considering the number of books - thousands of them- and variety of journals the library possesses. The reading room is a common place to study and share ideas which is as crowded during exam period.

The volleyball ground, the badminton court and the table tennis courts, not to forget, gymnasium are always flooded with fitness freaks and sports lovers. No wonder MGIMS students keep on adding feathers to their caps and representing their alma mater in the state and national competitions.
Conference Room
The session starts at 8 am and continues up to 5 in the evening. We spend most of our college hours in the lecture theatres and the practical labs or the wards. We have roomy lecture halls with superb ventilation At a given time, a hundred of us can be accommodated with ease in the halls and labs. We have a great team of clinicians and teachers who make sure every hour of teaching becomes a great learning experience for the questioning minds who eons later shall be thankful to those golden hours spent in the wards.
