The Mahatma Gandhi Mission (MGM) Trust is the parent body of MGMIHS which was established in 1982 by Hon. Shri. Kamalkishor N. Kadam with a futuristic vision to provide qualitative education by applying innovative and dynamic pedagogical techniques, promote health, prevent and cure diseases, advancing biomedical and clinical research and educational programs for tomorrow's physicians and scientists. Since inception, the Trust has focused on providing Health Care Services, School/Higher Education and Professional Education with dedication and commitment.

The MGM Trust was established in Nanded (Maharashtra) and in due course of time it extended its services to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad), Navi Mumbai, Parbhani (Maharashtra) and Noida Uttar Pradesh. A chain of Schools, Medical, Nursing, Management, Engineering, Architecture, Law, Computer Science & IT, Bioinformatics and Biotechnology, Fine Arts and Journalism stand testimony to the endeavors of the Trust. Admission Procedure

MGMIHS Courses are offered at UG, PG, Doctorate level. There are 112 courses offered at MGMIHS. The courses are offered disciplines like Medical, Paramedical, Management. MGMIHS courses includes B.Sc, M.Sc, Ph.D, MBBS, B.P.T, M.P.T, M.H.A [Hospital], MS, B.Sc (Nursing), M.D. Popular courses at MGMIHS are B.Sc, M.Sc, Ph.D.

Admission Criteria

MBBS Admission

Mahatma Gandhi Mission Institute of Health Sciences offers MBBS course of 5 ½ years duration with the intake of 150 students.Admission is given to those students who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects with minimum 50% marks in PCB from a recognized Board.Candidates are shortlisted for the course on the basis of their merit in NEET-I & II or MGM-UG-CET entrance examination conducted by the university.

B.Sc., BPT Admission

Mahatma Gandhi Mission Institute of Health Sciences offers B.Sc. in Nursing course of 4-years duration with the intake 50 students, B.Sc. in Paramedical course of 4-years duration with 7 specializations and intake of 20 in each, and Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing program of 2-years duration with total 30 seats. The Institute also offers BPT program of 4 ½ years duration with total 70 seats.

Eligibility

The minimum eligibility requirement for admission to B.Sc. in Nursing is candidates must have passed 10+2 with minimum 45% marks (40% for the reserved category candidates) in PCB with English as a mandatory subject. Applicants who have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination or have done GNM and are registered with the State Nurses Registration Council are eligible to get admission to Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing program. Candidates who have passed 10+2 with not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized Board are considered eligible to get admission to B.Sc. in Paramedical course. For BPT program, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent to two years Pre-University examination with minimum 50% marks scored in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

A Placement Cell for students is already in place at MGMIHS, under the Director, Students and Staff Welfare Affairs, assisted by Placement Coordinators nominated from each constituent units. All academic programs under MGMIHS are professional courses and therefore, majority of its Graduates and Post-Graduates get self-placed / self-employed in no time. Scope for campus interview / placement through placement agencies has therefore a very limited role. Therefore, the MGMIHS Placement cell strived to match the professional skill of our Graduates with that of the industry and services, with following functions and responsibilities:

• To ensure timely registrations of all MGMIHS Graduates with Statutory bodies (MCI, INC, OT-PT Council, RCI, Paramedical council) through the respective Institutional Heads, while maintaining a centralised data base.
  
• To Encourage all graduates to register on the National Career Service (NCS) portal (www.ncs.gov.in/job-seeker/Pages/default.aspx), Ministry of Labour and Employment, GOI as "Job Seekers" for availing employment at best of the organizations.
  
• To organise students/ alumni counselling sessions, inviting professional career counsellorsfrom time to time.
  Reaching out to MGMIHS Alumni Association who have been already sensitized to explore opportunities for the new Graduates and Post-graduates.
  
• To maintaining a database of all related organizations and networking with professionals in the relevant fields including reputed recruiting agencies.
  
• To assist all graduates to expedite their mandatory verification process initiated by their employers at the time of recruitment.
  
• To arrange guest lectures by inviting leading professionals and MGMIHS alumni to create awareness among students about employment opportunities across the Globe.
  
• To Coordinate with interested external agencies or organizations to conduct campus interview/placement occasionally.
