Mahatma Jyotiba Fule College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, a premier Institute in higher studies, is a constituent institute of MJF Vidyapeeth Samiti growing as a centre of excellence in providing education and training in veterinary.  It was established in 2007 with the permission of the State Government and started with due permission of University and Veterinary Council of India from the session 2009-10.  “Mahatma Fule” Founder for “Education to All”, Saint Shri S.L. Tanwar, Founder-Chairman & Social Reformer and “Guruji Hari Kishan Saini” Educationist for their inspirations and establishment of this Society/ College.

MJFCVAS is situated in the sprawling area of 40 acres of land surrounded by natural,  pollution-free serene beauty along with backdrop for great educational vision.  The College is located at around 29 km from Jaipur Railway Station on National Highway 52, Chomu Bypass, Jaipur- Sikar road, Harota, Jaipur (Rajasthan) having excellent environment and easily accessible through various means of transport from all over the world.

Mahatma Jyotiba Fule College of Veterinary and Animal Science is permanently affiliated to Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner (RAJUVAS).  It is recognized by the Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, New Delhi.  MJFCVAS is recognized by the Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi for the intake capacity of 100 seats of B.V.Sc.&A.H. Course. 

Mahatma Jyotiba Fule College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences is a reputed institute for BVSc&AH, apart from which the college also offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Doctoral and Diploma courses in Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Technology and Fisheries.  The course is available in Full Time mode.  BVSc. Students can choose this program to excel and pursue a career in Veterinary Science.  The Institute has highly trained & experienced faculty who efficiently deliver this program. The Course offered by the Institute is for total of 80 students.

Admission Procedure

Admission Process

MJFCVAS allocates its approximate 100 seats into three main quotas based on 2025 admission information:

1. All‑India Quota (VCI Quota) – 15%

   • Admissions are based on NEET UG scores and conducted via Veterinary Council of India's (VCI) centralized counseling.

   • If seats remain vacant after counseling, they may be transferred to state or management quotas. 

2. State Quota – 35%

   • Admission through RPVT (Rajasthan Pre-Veterinary Test) conducted by RAJUVAS, Rajasthan's authorized agency.

   • Only Rajasthan-domicile candidates are eligible here. Vacancies may be moved to management quota. 

3. Management Quota – 50%

   • Open to NEET- or RPVT-qualified candidates regardless of domicile, filled based on merit and availability.

Eligiblity

• Age: Minimum of 17 years as on December 31 of the admission year; maximum 25 years (with a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC candidates). 

• Educational Qualification:

  • Must have passed 10+2 (Class 12) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.

  • General category candidates require at least 50% aggregate in these subjects; reserved category candidates get a 5% relaxation (i.e. 45–47.5%, depending on source). 

• Entrance Exam Requirements:

  • NEET UG is required for eligibility under the All‑India VCI quota.  

  • RPVT is necessary for the state quota seat applications. 

  • For the management quota, NEET or RPVT qualification is generally sufficient.
