Mahendra Engineering College for Women is a top notch Engineering College in South India. It was established in the year 2008, by the Mahendra Educational Trust, led by the esteemed educationist, Shri M G Bharathkumar, Chairman of the Trust. After recognizing the significance of technical education for women, this was their first college exclusively for women.

The College is part of a 130 Acre mammoth Campus, of which the Engineering College for Women is on a 5 Acre area. Located in an open, airy, low polluted area, the College is in Kumaramangalam, 205, Namakkal Road, Thiruchengode, Namakkal Dist, Tamil Nadu.

Mahendra Engineering College for Women is approved by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Training), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The College is accredited by NAAC and is ISO 9001:2015 Certified.

The College offers 4 Undergraduate Programs comprising of 3 B.E and 1 B.Tech along with 1 Post Graduate option of ME. Mahendra Engineering College for Women offers scholarships to students based on their academic and economic performance. The scholarships including Mahendra Merit Scholarship for Academic Merit, Economically Poor Students Scholarship, Female Candidate Scholarship and other schemes. All scholarships are subject to Terms, Conditions and qualifying criteria as laid down by the Government and the College.

The College has a very impressive and Top Class Infrastructure and Facilities on its Campus. There is the Central Library, in addition to the Department Library which collectively supports the teaching – learning, research and extension programmes of the Institute. All the Students and Faculty Members of the Institute are encouraged to use the Library facilities by getting a Library Membership. There is also the facility of a Digital Library. a well Furnished Hostel for Girls with all necessary facilities, an airy and open Canteen, Sports Facilities, Co-operative Stores for all general purchases, Counseling centre to help the students out of their problems - personal, psychological, religious, financial and so on. Every teaching staff is attached with 15 students and takes care of the academic related counselling and also monitors the attendance and academic progress of the students. There are a number of Hobby and Interest Clubs intended to help Student Personality Development holistically. Literary Club, Fine Arts Club, Cultural Club and Sports Club are some of the attractions.
