Admission Procedure

Selection committee constituted by Mahendra Engineering College will do selection of the candidate for admission.Based on the selection, students are admitted in the institution. The admission is purely provisional and subject to the approval from Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai / Anna University.

B.E / B.Tech - 4 Year Course

Admission Process

• We admit all students under government quota allotted through single window counselling by DOTE - Direct II Year Engineering Admissions.
  
• We admit the students under management quota based on the overall percentage of marks obtained by a student from 1st Semester to 6th Semester in the full time Diploma (10+3 / 12+2) examination / B.Sc. with Mathematics at degree level or higher secondary level.

Admission Process

• We admit all the students under government quota allotted through single window counselling by Tamil Nadu Common Admission (TANCA).
  
• We admit the students under management quota based on the marks secured in entrance examination conducted by the Association of Management of Coimbatore Anna University Affiliated Colleges.
• We admit all the students under government quota allotted through the counselling conducted by DOTE & DOCE, Chennai - Tamil Nadu MBA Admission
• We admit all the students under government quota allotted through the counselling conducted by DOTE & DOCE, Chennai - Tamil Nadu MCA Admission.

“Library is a heart of an Institution” - Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Former President of India. The Mahendra Engineering College has established the Central Library in 1995. The Central Library moved to its new building in February, 2012. The Mahendra Engineering College (Autonomous) has a Centralized Library & Information Centre with a carpet area of 17029 Sq.ft., with a total seating capacity of 250 persons. It is located in the ground floor of the Library Block. In addition to that Departments have their own Department Libraries.The College has a spacious and airy Canteen. It provides a variety of wholesome, tasty snacks and food at a reasonable price. The Canteen also provides packaged snacks items, bakery products, soft drinks to the taste and requirements of not only the students but also the staff members.

• A Co-operative Store is available next to the Canteen. It satisfies all the cosmetic, stationery, and other academic needs of the students.
  
• Rest room facility is extended to dayscholars.
  
• Separate lunch rooms are available for dayscholar boys and girls.
  
• The canteen serves the students, the day scholars and visitors.
  
• The canteen is run on self-help principle.

Banking services to staff and students are provided by Union Bank of India Mallasamudram Branch through an on-campus extension counter functioning between 12 noon and 2 p.m. on all working days. An ATM Counter is also installed inside the campus by Union Bank of India Mallasamudram Branch for transactions round the clock.A 1-Gbps dedicated Internet connectivity is provided to all the departments through local area network, which provides the opportunity to all to stay in touch with the latest Information.

Transport

The College has its own fleet of transport to pick-up students from Salem, Erode, Namakkal, Tiruchengode, etc. and covers almost every important locations situated within a radial distance of 55 KM. The College is presently using 45 buses out of 150 buses owned and operated by Mahendra Educational Trust.
