Mahendra Institute of Technology (Autonomous) - MIT is one of the premier institutions of Mahendra Educational Trust established in the year 2005 to meet out the higher education needs of the students who seek to stand as Engineers and Scientists. Mahendra Institute of Technology, established in 2007, is a private engineering college in Salem, Tamil Nadu, part of the Mahendra Educational Trust, offering Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in Engineering, IT, and Business Management. The Trust was established in the year 1978 by Shri M G Bharath Kumar. Mrs B Valliammal is the Secretary of Mahendra Educational Trust. The College is committed to be a leader in Higher Education achieving excellence through world class learning environment for Science and Technology with a blend of advanced research to create ethical and competent professionals.

Mahendra Institute of Technology is an excellent Green Campus and unpolluted area. Located at Salem-Thiruchengode Highway, Mahendhirapuri, Mallasamudram, Namakkal Dist, Tamilnadu. The College stands proud in a beautifully and aesthetically done up campus of a gigantic 250 Acres owned by the Mahendra Group of Institutions in total, of which 130 Acres is on what the Mahendra Institute of Technology stands. Situated just on the outskirts of Salem Town, the College is 27 Kms away from Salem Junction Railway Station, 17.6 Kms from Salem New Bus Stand and 41 Kms from Salem Airport.

Mahendra Institute of Technology is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. Admission Procedure

Admission is through TNEA counseling and Management Quota. Candidates who seek admissions under Management Quota will be selected by the Consortium of Self – Financing Professional, Arts and science colleges in Tamil Nadu. The admission is purely provisional and subject to the approval from Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai / Anna University.

• We admit the students under management quota based on the rank list published by the Association of Management of Coimbatore Anna University Affiliated Colleges.
• We admit all students under government quota allotted through single window counselling by DOTE - Direct II Year Engineering Admissions. (Lateral Entry)
• We admit the students under management quota based on the rank list published by the Consortium of Self – Financing Professional, Arts and science colleges in Tamil Nadu. BE/BTech Degree.

Eligibility

• Candidates must have completed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  
• Admissions are based on performance in the 10+2 examinations.

M.E - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

• We admit all the students under government quota allotted through single window counselling by Tamil Nadu Common Admission (TANCA).
  
• We admit the students under management quota based on the marks secured in entrance examination conducted by the Consortium of Self – Financing Professional, Arts and science colleges in Tamil Nadu.

• Candidates must have a BE/B.Tech degree in the relevant field.

Ph.D

Situated on a 12-acre campus within the expansive 250-acre Mahendra Institutions complex, MIT boasts modern architecture and a green campus environment. Facilities include well-furnished classrooms, advanced laboratories, a comprehensive library with over 51,000 volumes, a grand auditorium, seminar halls, indoor stadium, canteen, co-operative store, 24/7 Wi-Fi, banking services, and a health center.

Transport

The College has its own buses that ply from places such as Erode, Attur, Salem, Kannankurichi, Komaramangalam, Konganapuram, Namakkal, Rasipuram, Tharamangalam and other places. The buses ply to a radial distance of 50 km to help the students and staff to reach the College on time as well as to get dropped back at there places in the evening. Mahendra Educational Trust has around 150 buses and all these buses are used according to the need and facility of the students and the staff.
