Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering is nestled in 74 acres of the lush, serene landscapes in Badaga Mijar, Near Moodabidre, Mangalore Tq, DK Dist, Karnataka.  The MITE campus is on the Mangalore - Solapur Highway, about 30 km from Mangalore and about 4 km short of the town of Moodabidri.

 
The institution is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to one of India’s largest Technical Universities, Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi.  MITE is Recognized with an illustrious NAAC A+ Grade and positioned within the 151-300 band of NIRF’s Innovation ranking. It is an ISO 9001: 2015 Certified Institution with NBA having accredited its Engineering Programs,.

 
With 3000+ students and180+ Faculty, MITE offers UG and PG courses in Engineering, Management and Computer Application.  The various courses offered are BE (in 9 Disciplines), MTech (Comp Sc), MCA and MBA (Dual specialization in the Management sector - Human Resource Management, Marketing, Finance).  The institution adheres to the rules and regulations set by the Govt. of Karnataka for allotment of seats. The admission for UG Degree is based on the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Government of Karnataka and COMED-K.  For MTech admissions PGCET qualification and Roaster system of Government of Karnataka is followed.  Admission to MBA program is done on the basis of marks obtained in any one of the recognised entrance tests like PGCET (Karnataka), MAT, KMAT, CAT etc.  There shall be an Entrance Examination (PGCET) for admission to the MCA Programmer. A Candidate seeking admission to MCA Programme shall appear for this examination. For admission under Government quota, ranks obtained in PGCET entrance exam, conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) shall be considered.

 
Draped in nature’s bliss, the lush green serene MITE Campus housed in 54420 sq ft of built up area with best in class infrastructure was awarded the ‘Best Engineering College undertaking Green initiatives in Dakshina Kannada’ by the Pollution Control Board, Government of Karnataka. 45% of the seats are filled through Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Government of Karnataka .
30% of the seats are filled through COMED-K.
25% of the seats are filled by Management.

LIBRARY

Libraries play a crucial role in a Knowledge Institution. As gateways to knowledge and culture, the resources and services a library offers create immense opportunities for learning and help shape the new ideas and perspectives that are central to a creative and innovative society.

MITE has a fully computerized centrally air-conditioned library spread across Two levels, with a rich collection of books and periodicals. The Library has a collection of 5,982 Titles, 30,007 Volumes, most of the Standard National and International Journals of Engineering and Management Stream.  The reference section is a large repository of books, periodicals and journals that provides the reader with the most advanced information in the field of Science, Technology, and Management. As per AICTE and VTU norms, Library has subscribed for e-Journals and e-books through Consortium Membership.

HOSTEL

MITE is a complete residential campus, offering the best stay to the inmates. The environment is specifically designed to meet requirements of students. The college has elegantly built Girls’ and Boys’ hostels, with ample spacious rooms with attached bathrooms on a twin sharing basis. The hostels are located within the college campus. It also offers round the clock hot water, internet connection, washing machine on every floor, veg & non-veg food. add comfort to the convenience to the residents and that has been the prime consideration of the construction. The hostel is built to suit the students needs with double occupancy with attached bath, round the clock hot water, internet connections, laundry, veg & non veg mess, Information centre (TV / Newspaper)

Sports & Games

At MITE, we understand how important physical activities are for the wholesome development of an individual. Bearing testimony to this, we have a playground sprawling across 6 acres. An excellent ambience, serene and pollution free environment at the foothills of a green mountain, a water spring flowing throughout the year are the other attractions. MITE provides the right facilities for all round development of a student. Ample facilities are provided for the students to excel in the sports arena. The college has a 400 meters track ground, Cricket, Football, Volleball ground. Synthetic Bassketball Court of International Standard worth INR 25 Lakhs Two synthetic layered Badmintion Courts for for Boys & Girls costing INR 1.75 Lakhs Ongoing construction of Synthetic Tennis Court of International Standard Seperate Gymnasium for Boys & Girls is also one of the highlight of the sports facility.
