• The candidate appears for NEET UG and obtains a qualifying score. 

• After NEET results, candidates register for online counselling through the appropriate portal (e.g., by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for Deemed University quota or by the state counselling authority (for example Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB)) for state quota. 

• Candidates fill in their preferences/choices of institute and course, participate in seat allotment rounds. 

• Once a seat is allotted, the candidate must report to the institution with the original documents, complete verification, pay the prescribed fee and complete admission formalities.
