ABOUT :

Marathwada Institute of Technology has been established in 1984 to cater the technical education in the rural part of Maharashtra. The institution spreads over 13 acres of land with separate hostel facilities for girls and boys. This Institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, Raigarh, Maharashatra, the state technical university popularly known as BATU. The institution offers B. Tech. programmes in five disciplines and an Architecture program. Post-Graduation programs are also offered in Engineering & Technology, Computer Applications and Architecture. The Institute has a University recognized Ph.D. Research Center in Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. More than 2500 full time & part time students are on campus for availing graduate and post graduate education and doing Ph.D. research.

??The institute has excellent quality infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories. Well qualified faculties from IITs, NITs and reputed organizations are available in the institute. The faculty members are motivated and dedicated to create and provide a conducive learning environment in the Institute. Institute participates in national and international exhibitions and presents students projects and research contributions/activities where the institute has been recognized by the organizers and won prizes at national level. Students are encouraged to actively participate in National and State level co-curricular and extracurricular activities like SAE BAJA, SUPRA, ROBOCON etc.

At the institutional level, MIT is governed by a board of governors headed by a president and a director general. The board includes nominees from the GSM trust and members having specialized knowledge or practical experience in education, engineering or science.

For all academic matters, the academic advisory body is the authority having control and responsibility for the maintenance of standards of education and consists of reputed technologists or industrialists from the field of science and engineering.

The key people in the day-to-day operation of the institute are the principal and vice principal, assisted by heads of departments and a student council. The administration is managed by the registrar and administrative office.

MIT provides both undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate programs for Indian and International students. Admission to the undergraduate courses is through the Maharashtra-Common Entrance Test for state-allocated seats (65%) and through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for all-India seats.

The college is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (BATU). The engineering courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education

ADMISSION PROCESS:

Admissions to Marathwada Institute of Technology, Aurangabad are through 2 modes namely central counseling conducted by DTE Maharashtra for home students of around 65%. While there is a Central Counseling as well for 15% of students belonging to all over the country.

These are the entrance tests associated with each degree program offered at MIT, Aurangabad. The following entrances are required degree program wise:

• For B.Tech either JEE Main or MHT-CET is required. 
• For B.Arch NATA score submission is mandatory.
• GATE should be qualified for M.TECH admissions.
• Either MAH-MBA or MMS-CET or CAT or MAT or GMAT or XAT are acceptable for MBA admissions.
• To be admitted to the MCA program MAH-CET is required.

Various types of scholarships are offered to those students who are admitted through CAP. The scholarships are divided based upon the need of the students belonging from the reserved category.

Students should have passed Maharashtra Board HSC (or XII) OR its equivalent with 50% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biology

OR

Students holding a Diploma in Engineering/Technology must score 50% aggregate, from an English medium, AICTE approved institution.

SCHOLARSHIP:

As per our records, Marathwada Institute of Technology (Polytechnic) can offer scholarships for the session 2023-24 for various programs. However, you should enquire about scholarships from the college officials. Remember the minimum fee for the program at this institute is Rs.18,000.
