MCE - Meenakshi College of Engineering is a premier Institute located in Chennai.  MCE is a part of the KRS Group of Institutions which includes the Indian Institute of Technical Education and is the brainchild of the eminent Educationist of South India, Professor K.R. Sundararajan.   

Meenakshi College of Engineering was established in the year 2001-2002 by the Meenakshi Ammal Trust, Chennai, which is a Public Charitable Educational Trust formed for reaching quality education to deserving and aspiring students. The Trust members are drawn from various walks of life and are eminent personalities with proven success in Education, Research and Teaching apart from Social Service.

The 5.09 acres of MCE campus is located in West KK Nagar, Virugambakkam in the heart of Chennai city and easily accessible from different parts of the suburbs also.  A sprawling and spacious almost layout with a serene and green environment welcomes the students as they step into the college campus.

Meenakshi College of Engineering, Chennai

Meenakshi College of Engineering (MCE), Chennai, features a 14-acre campus in West K.K. Nagar with modern academic blocks, smart classrooms, fully equipped labs, a central library with 40,000+ volumes, and 1 Gbps Wi-Fi. The library comprises 32640 books in total, out of which 553 are based on PG courses and 935 are reference books. There are a total of 16 departments in the library.

The college offers separate hostels for boys and girls, a hygienic cafeteria, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, a gym, medical support, and dedicated seminar halls. With reliable transport services, RO water supply, power backup, and green open spaces, MCE provides a balanced environment for academic learning and student well-being.

The College has a fleet of buses plying from various places of Chennai for the benefit of Students and Staff members. These buses operate along different routes starting from different places approximately between 6.30 and 6.45 a.m. The college provides free transport facility for the Staff members. Special buses are available after college hours for the convenience of the staff and students involved in sports and other activities.
