Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College, established in 2001 by the IIET Society, is part of the esteemed KRS Group of Institutions. This group includes the prestigious Indian Institute of Engineering Technology (IIET), founded in 1947 by Late Shri K.R. Sundararajan, as well as Meenakshi College for Women and the recently established Meenakshi Sundararajan School of Management.  The institutions on the KRS Campus are renowned for their commitment to quality education and research as well as high standards of discipline.

Since its inception, MSEC which is managed by Eminent Educationists, has demonstrated a strong commitment to Academic Excellence and extracurricular engagement. It is Approved by AICTE, New Delhi and Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.  The College is accredited by NBA and NAAC with A Grade and has been ranked 7th by Anna University Nov/Dec 2023 for Academic Performance

Admission Procedure

B.E/B.Tech admissions take place through TNEA counseling or based on JEE Mains scores. The students are eligible only if they pass 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate and having PCM as compulsory subjects.M.E admissions are offered to those students who qualify either TANCET or GATE. They must also qualify B.E/B.Tech in a relevant discipline with an overall aggregate of 50%.

• Candidates need to first register by creating a login ID and password through an OTP verification.
  
• After the registration, candidates can log in with their username and password.

• Passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

 The college has a large library with internet connectivity. The library is equipped with a wide range of facilities that use the latest technology. The library has 47000 books, journals, periodicals, newspaper, special collection, educational CDs etc. There is an online publication catalogue in the library that is furnished with 5 computers. The library also offers photocopying facility, reprographic facility, and bulletin board service.

Computer centre:

 The computer centre is equipped with a lab, hardware facility, networking facility, latest software and others like printers, other virtual services.

Auditoriums:

The college has a large auditorium that has a seating capacity of more than 3000 people and had various facilities like audio control room, air conditioning unit.

 Seminal hall:

 There is a large seminar hall that has a seating capacity of 300 people and has different facilities like a ceiling-mounted LCD projector, retractable on-stage screen etc.

Open-air Theatre:

 The college has an open-air theatre where cultural events are organised.
