Admission to MES Institute of Technology & Management (MESITAM), Kollam is conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala, APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU), AICTE, and the Government of Kerala. Candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech programmes must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology, securing the minimum marks prescribed by the admission authority. Government quota seats are allotted through the KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical) entrance examination and the centralized allotment process conducted by CEE Kerala based on merit and reservation norms. Management quota admissions are offered based on the candidate's KEAM score/rank and qualifying examination marks, followed by counselling and document verification conducted by the college. Applicants are required to submit the prescribed application form, attend the admission process with original academic certificates, KEAM scorecard (where applicable), transfer certificate, conduct certificate, identity proof, passport-size photographs, and other required documents. Final admission is confirmed only after successful verification of documents and payment of the prescribed fees. The institute also provides admissions under the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme and Lateral Entry for eligible diploma holders, as per the norms of AICTE, KTU, and the Government of Kerala.

B.Tech

Admission Process

• Candidates must complete the B.Tech admission application through the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala or apply directly to the institute for management quota admissions.

• Applicants should appear for and obtain a valid score in the Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical (KEAM) entrance examination conducted by CEE, Kerala.

• Eligible candidates must participate in the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) conducted by CEE, Kerala. Management quota admissions are carried out as per Government and institute regulations.

• Candidates allotted a seat must submit the original academic certificates, KEAM scorecard, transfer certificate, conduct certificate, identity proof, and other required documents for verification.

• After successful verification, candidates must pay the prescribed admission fee and complete all admission formalities within the stipulated time to secure their B.Tech admission.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.

• Applicants should have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology as one of the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

• Candidates must have secured the minimum aggregate marks prescribed by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) for the relevant admission year.

• A valid KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical) entrance examination score is required for admission under the merit quota. Admissions under other quotas are governed by the applicable regulations.

• Admission is confirmed only after meeting the eligibility criteria, successful document verification, seat allotment (where applicable), and payment of the prescribed admission fee.

M.B.A

Admission Process

• Candidates must fill out and submit the MBA application form through the institute's admission office or the prescribed admission portal within the specified deadline.

• Applicants should have a valid score in a recognized management entrance examination such as KMAT Kerala, CMAT, or CAT, as accepted by the institute and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU).

• Shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in the selection process, which may include a Group Discussion (GD) and/or Personal Interview (PI), depending on the admission guidelines.

• Selected candidates must submit original documents, including degree certificates, entrance exam scorecard, transfer certificate, conduct certificate, identity proof, and other required documents for verification.

• After successful verification and selection, candidates must pay the prescribed admission fee and complete all admission formalities to confirm their MBA admission.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

• Applicants should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks (or the minimum percentage prescribed by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and the Government of Kerala). Relaxation in marks may be applicable for reserved category candidates as per Government norms.

• Candidates must have a valid score in KMAT Kerala, CMAT, or CAT, as accepted for MBA admissions by the institute.

• Candidates appearing for the final year/semester of their bachelor's degree may also apply, provided they produce the qualifying degree certificates at the time of admission.

• Admission is granted based on fulfilling the eligibility criteria, valid entrance exam score, performance in the selection process (if applicable), document verification, and payment of the prescribed admission fee.

MES Institute of Technology & Management (MESITAM), Kollam has a dedicated Career Guidance and Placement Cell (CGPC) that works to enhance students' employability through comprehensive training and career support. The placement cell conducts regular aptitude training, soft skills development, communication skill enhancement, group discussions, mock interviews, technical workshops, resume-building sessions, and personality development programmes to prepare students for campus recruitment.
