How to Apply
The total number of seats in the College in each branch are filled in two ways. 50% of the seats are filled by Government from the rank list published by the Controller of Entrance Examinations (CEE) following the reservation rules. The balance 50% seats are filled by the Management again from the same rank list. The lapsed seats are ultimately filled by the Management following the eligibility conditions. In management seats there are also NRI quota. The admission to Management quota and NRI quota are done in accordance with the rules and regulations stipulated by Government of Kerala/Commissioner for Entrance Examination and Fee regulatory Committee on the basis of the conditions agreed with Government and Management of the college.

General Category

The minimum qualification for admission to degree programmes in Engineering should be a pass in the 10+2 (Senior Higher Secondary) Examination with a minimum of - and an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together. (50 percent marks in Mathematics separately). The candidate should have been ranked by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE).

The minimum qualification for admission to degree programmes in Engineering should be a pass in the 10+2 (Senior Higher Secondary) Examination with a minimum of - and an aggregate of 45 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics put together. (45 percent marks in Mathematics separately).

SC / ST Category

The minimum qualification for admission to degree programmes in Engineering should be a pass in the 10+2 (Senior Higher Secondary) Examination

Formal Application forms for admission can be obtained from the college office in person on payment of Rs300/- or by post on payment of Rs330/- by demand draft. Application forms can also be downloaded from the website of the college. Such application have to be submitted along with DD of Rrs300/- in favor of the college.

The duly filled in application along with attested copies of necessary documents can be submitted directly or by registered post with A/D to the college so as to reach the college office on or before prescribed date. Applicants shall obtain acknowledgment from the college for application submitted directly.

Application submitted to the college should be completed in all respects .The candidates should fill in all the columns in the Application form in his /her own handwriting.

Scholarship is being provided for the last two years for meritorious students who have scored excellent marks in +2 examinations. This year also Scholarship will be granted liberally to all deserving candidates. Fee concession will be provided to students under Lateral entry scheme also.

M.G College of Engineering is having a vast Library with internet facilities.Library consists of about 10730 books covering all the subjects required for the students for study and reference in accordance with the curriculam.There are books of 4235 titles related to Electronics , Electrical ,Computer Science,Civil Engineering,Information Technology,Mechanical Engineering , Physics ,Chemistry ,Mathematics ,Managment studies ,General Enginering etc apart from National and International Journals.

There are three computer labs that are functioning the college for academic purpose. One lab is for the first year students, one for the senior students and one lab is allotted specially for project work. All the labs are fully networked and have got internet facility. Each lab can accommodate 45 students at a single stretch allotting individual systems for students. The systems used in computer lab consists of high end configuration. The systems are installed with licensed softwares which are updated regularly.

Basic Electronics Lab

First year undergraduate students on any of our Electronic Engineering degree programmes will spend some time each week in the Level 1 Electronics Laboratory. This laboratory space contains an array of up to date equipment that students will learn to use. They will develop their practical circuit building skills and put into practice the circuit analysis techniques that they have learnt in lectures. The laboratory is also used by second year undergraduate students to build and test prototype electronic systems before manufacturing their final circuit layouts to complete their Level 2 electronics design projects

Electronics Communications Lab

The department has a full fledged control system laboratory with modern equipments like servomotors, synchros, position control system, controllers and compensators. The lab is also equipped with advanced computing tools like MATLAB and ORCAD. The course is designed to inculcate in students a fundamental understanding of the theory and design of modern and classical feedback control system via transfer functions and state variables.
