Arts college was established by the Mohammed Institute of Education and Technology Society Tiruchirappalli in the year 1994, a society registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975, at the initiative of Alhaj A. Mohamed Yunus, an industrialist-cum-educationist as founder secretary and Alhaj S.M. Hassan Mohamed, a Philanthropist as the founder president, with an objective to serve the cause of higher education. The college is affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli.
- We train students to accomplish their career goals.The Placement & Training Cell features with a full-time placement officer who organizes both on-campus & off-campus employment drives. It is exclusively established to help students to determine their educational objectives, career goals, obtain career-oriented proficiency and to attain their dream jobs.
- The placement training is hosted by industrial experts, professionals, and coordinators to prepare the students for aptitude tests, technical facts, numerical ability, and group discussions. The experts conduct mock interviews to test the students’ skills and further, build their self-esteem.

Instructions:
Application forms for all the programmes will be available at College Office by paying the prescribed fees. Students can come in person and get the forms.
Only such application forms which are correctly filled in with all the particulars will be accepted.
Student can apply for admission immediately after the announcement of Higher Secondary result.
Printout copy of their result from the website prescribed by the government is also accepted.
For PG admission,students must bring printout or photo copy (Xerox) of all their semester mark statement from the prescribed university website.
The filled in application must have the attachment of 2 photocopies (Xerox) of their Higher Secondary Mark sheet/printout copy of the result, Transfer Certificate, Aadhar card and Community Certificate.
Fees once Paid will not be refunded.
After admission, the Original Transfer Certificate will not be issued, under any circumstances.
The candidates should ensure that they equip accurate marks in the Application form.
Candidates are informed that after proper analysis of marks, if found that the marks furnished in the application form are not correct then they will lose the admission, no matter at what stage of the course they will be in at the time.
If the fees are not paid on or before the date specified the candidate will lose his / her seat.
Original Mark sheet and Transfer certificate must be submitted to the college office before the commencement of college.

Eligibility:
The wards of any Differently Abled Person holding the Identity Card issued by the Welfare Board of Differently Abled can apply for this scholarship.
This scholarship is applicable for studies from class 11th to Post Graduate level.
This scholarship is applicable only for girl students, who are perusing post graduate courses in Arts and Science from a recognized college in Tamil Nadu.

MASJID
· ]In 1984 MIET Institution constructed a small mosque. Due to increase of the strength already existed mosque was not sufficient for prayer. So our Chairman decided to build a new mosque in larger size with all facilities, nearly 2500 peoples can pray at a time.
· In 06th September 2013, Honorable Chief Judge F.M. IBRAHIM KALIFULLAH, Supreme Court, Delhi opened our new mosque and Honorable chief Judge M.Y.IQBAL, Supreme Court, Delhi opened our college mosque library. In this library more than 930 Islamic related books are available.
· In mosque every day we conduct 5 times prayer through the Imam. In evening times we teach the students to read Quran.
· During Ramzan month we conduct night prayers (Tharafik) and also we arrange Ifthar and Sahar to the students.
· MIET Institution created an environment for teaching both Academic and Islamic course to the students. May Allah guide to continue this service.

- A well furnished canteen is functioning for the benefit of students and others in the campus.
- The Campus Cafe is open from 8.30 A.M. to 6.00 P.M. on all working days.

LIBRARY
The library plays an important role in the present education system. A well-equipped and well-managed library is the foundation of modern educational structure. Library is a mirror that reflects the culture and activity of the educational institution and it measures up the standards of the institution. Therefore, the library is said to be the heart of the educational institution. Library is to help the teacher in keeping abreast of developments in their field.
Each department has their sources apart from prescribed syllabus. Students and Staff members can access the library whenever in need.
