Moodlakatte Institute of Technology Kundapura was established in the year 2004, under the leadership of the Philanthropic, Technocrat Late Shri I M Jayaram Shetty and the iconic MNBS Trust. Spread over a sprawling 60 acres of lush green environment, Moodlakatte Institute of Technology is located in the farm lands with pristine ambience  in Moodlakatte Village, Kundapura Taluk, Udupi, Karnataka and provides warmth and serenity to its visitors.  Positioned 5 km from National Highway 66 and 6 km from Kundapura city, it enjoys easy connectivity. This highway links Kundapur to cities like Pune, Mumbai, Karwar, and Belgaum. Kundapur is well-served by super luxury buses from Mumbai to Mangalore. The Konkan Railway, with the Kundapur station just 4 km from town, is a convenient option. Taxis and autos are readily available. The nearest airport is Mangalore International Airport, around 87 km from Kundapura.

 
Moodlakatte Institute of Technology is affiliated to the Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

 
MITK offers various UG and PG courses in the fieds of Engineering and Management.  Under UG programs it offers B.E. in 7 disciplines. The Admissions will be made under CET / COMEDK / NRI / Management quota.   MITK also offers regular two-year Post Graduate Management courses - MBA in 4 specializations for technical as well as humanities graduates since 2008. This department comes under the administrative jurisdiction of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology. The Institute offers Academic Scholarships by IMJF Foundation.  Admissions to the MBA program are based on the Moodlakatte Management Entrance Test (MMET), CAT, MAT scores.

Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, Kundapura offers 2 degrees and 5 courses consisting of postgraduate and undergraduate courses. The MIT Kundapura admissions include BE and MBA. The admissions are offered to strengthen students' theoretical and practical understanding of the MITK courses. Before applying for MIT Kundapura admissions, candidates should appear for the relevant entrance examinations such as KCET, COMEDK UGET, MAT, Karnataka PGCET, KMAT, and CAT. The library also has a large CD collection. The library subscribes to e-books and e-journals on engineering and management. The university joined DELNET and became a member of the INDEST-AICTE consortium and the VTU consortium in the area of subscription to Internet resources. The library has a separate reading room, a separate group study area, newspaper and magazine departments, a book bank, etc.

 Hostel

MITK has built separate and secure dormitories for boys and girls where students will feel at home. We currently provide furnished bedrooms and spacious dining areas for all students living in the dorm. The food served to our students is of the highest quality, with nutritious meals and snacks. Our chefs use student surveys and feedback to create flavorful menus that cater to a wide range of dietary needs.

Sports and games play an important role in the development of a person's personality and in maintaining their health and physical fitness. "A healthy mind in a healthy body" is the motto of our institute. Just as yoga and meditation give inner mental strength, fitness through various sports and games enables everyone to achieve extraordinary success in life. Sports and games also encourage a competitive spirit and channel their energy into team building and leadership. MITK has a fleet of 5 luxurious buses for transport of students from their respective places. The transport facility is available to students, faculty and staff residing in/round the radius of 50 KM of the college campus. Apart from local towns near Kundapur, Busses also ply the students from far off places such as, Manipal, Bhatkal, Siddapur, Halady and other small towns on the coastal areas, Western Ghats belt, helping the rural youth to reach the college and realize their dreams of becoming engineers.
