Mount Zion College of Engineering & Technology (MZC) is a Top Class Technical College in Tamilnadu. The College was inaugurated in 2001 and is run by the Mount Zion Christian Educational Trust with the sole aim of starting the College was to provide quality Education in the Educationally Backward District of Pudukkottai. The College, since its inception, has grown by leaps and bounds and is currently one of the best in the Region. It strives to make all those who pass through its portals into Innovative, Hardworking Engineers who will be of use to their places of work and to the Society at large. Mr. Jayabarathan Chelliah, M.A. (U.S.A), B.Ed. was the Founder-Chairman of Mount Zion Christian Education Trust. Mrs. Florence Jayabarathan, M.A., B.Ed., Wife of Mr Jayabaratan is the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees.

Mount Zion College is located at Lena Vilakku, Pilivalam P.O, Thirumayam Tk, Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu on a scenic rural surrounding 100 Acres of Land in a Green and Pollution Free surrounding. The nearest Bus Stand from the College is Thirumayam which is 8 Kms away from the College while Pudukkottai Railway Station is 12 Kms away.

The College has its approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The College has been conferred Autonomous Status by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi. It is also an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Institution with NAAC A+ Grading.

MZC has 5 B.E, 2 B.Tech and 2 M.E Courses to offer in various disciplines apart from 1 Fulltime MBA option. The College has a large number of Student Scholarships. for Meritorious Students and Students from Economically Backward Families. There are Awards and Scholarships for Students also based on Overall Performance, Hostel related and Activity Club related apart from Government Sponsored. We are excited to announce that 25 students from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, 30 from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and 18 from the Department of Mechanical Engineering have been successfully selected and placed during the Campus Recruitment Drive held by Amphenol Omniconnect India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, on February 12, 2025.

The Mount Zion Library is the primary library resource for study, teaching, and research in engineering on the MZ Campus and is an outstanding means of learning, catering to the ever-growing and uncompromising information and intellectual requirements of the students and the faculties.The College Library has developed an excellent collection of the latest as well as old volumes, 165 journals comprising of National and International titles and 45 Technical & Non-Technical Magazines. It also has a collection of over 1000 resource Compact Discs, and Video Cassettes under various titles.Two large playgrounds are available on our campus with an area of 21043.70sq.m to give regular practice for the students in outdoor games such as cricket, badminton, football, hockey, volleyball, kabaddi, handball, kho-kho and throwball. The college has a standard 400 m track, Long jump, Triple jump, High jump, Shot put, Javelin throw and Hammer throw, two football fields, one cricket ground, 1 Handball court, two volleyball courts, 1 Hockey ground, two kabaddi court, indoor badminton court with floodlights and 2 Ball badminton court, 1 Basket Ball court.

Hostel 

• You can avail rooms with A/Cs at a nominal feeHostel Rules are to be strictly followed
  
• Wi-Fi providing high speed internet access and access to the central computing facility is available in the hostel premises.
  
• A Television has also been provided for Recreation purposes at the Hostels.

• A 1500 litre per hour reverse osmosis water purification plant is installed to provide purified water for drinking and cooking purposes.

• College buses ply from Melur, Karambakkudi, Pattukkottai, Karaikudi, Tirupatur, Devakottai, Ponnamaravathi, Gandarvakkottai, Aranthangi, Alangudi, Pudukkottai, Sivagangai City, Trichy, etc,.
  
• New routes are being constantly added. Kindly contact the office if you require the transportation route to be extended to your location.
  
• Contact the Administrative Office to register for Transportation Services. Students will be issued a Transportation Identity Card, which should be carried at all times while using the College Transportation.
